<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Andrei Kirilenko has faced Dirk Nowitzki several times in European leagues and international play. He has matched up with the Mavericks forward for the past four seasons in the NBA, too.

The foreign and U.S. Nowitzkis aren't the same, Kirilenko said.

"When he plays for Germany, he is on another level from his team. He has to do everything himself," Kirilenko said. "It's a lot of responsibility, and you try to defend him especially."

With the Mavericks, though, focusing on Nowitzki, even though his 25.4-point average ranks ninth in the league, just makes matters worse. "Jason Terry will beat you. Or Jerry Stackhouse, or Josh Howard," Kirilenko said. "It makes [Nowitzki] much better player because he can concentrate on what he does best."

He does that well enough, Kirilenko judged, to be the league's MVP. "Definitely, he's having great season on maybe best team. I say he and Steve Nash and Elton Brand and Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson. He could get it, of course. He deserves."

    Kirilenko's vote? None of those.

"I say Kobe Bryant, because he doesn't have strong team but he's put them in playoff spot right now," Kirilenko assessed. "And anyway, who can score 81? He's playing better than anyone." </div>

The way the Jazz owner is functioning, he could trade AK for anyone.

^ Lol thats true, but considering that ever since 2000 we've had to defend how good Kobe was, the criminal trial made things even harder, now people are starting to realize...

unfortunately there are still a few ignorant people out there that just say uneducated dumb as* sh*t that makes me wanna deck em...anyways

I'm really starting to wonder with so many players saying Kobe should be MVP, who would actually vote against him.
