    As it stands:

    Jake:

    17 points
    13 rebounds

    The three Celtics:

    15 points
    10 rebounds

Jake has even managed to get to the foul line 10 times, which was a large reason Al Jefferson fouled out in only 12 minutes. [IMG]

All hail King Jake, the double double machine [IMG]

King Jake ended with 19 and 16, and actually got the chance to come off the court to a great ovation from the crowd towards the end of the game.

The big man from the Mediterranian proves that size does count.

His size helps, but he's getting it done with some nice touch around the basket too.

He is limited, but there is some genuine talent there.

    Perhaps too much.

Tsakalidis played a great game: He had a nice touch like you said. But his real contribution was mostly through effort and willingness to box out. Doc's love of Gasol forced the bigs to go straight at the Spaniard. So whenever he passed, it inevitably resulted in too much scrambling, which equates to fouls. Was anyone going to guard Gasol on their own? No. But the Celtics' defensive rotation was even worse than usual. Jake may bring 10 and 8 against some teams, but 19 and 16 should never happen. Also, Chucky Atkins killed the Celts from outside, and opened everything up. It really was an example of Fratello outcoaching Rivers by a large margin.

is this a temporary miracle or it seems pretty set that Jake has waken up and started to play really solid? (rest of the year? in the coming season?)

He has always had talent, he just needed court time and some confidence from the coach.

He's not going to go 12 and 10 every night, but i reckon he'll be a solid 10 and 7 each night, especially with Paul drawing so many double teams.
