Playing without the injured Allen Iverson, the Sixers failed to gain ground in the Eastern Conference playoff standings. Chris Webber had 23 points and 11 rebounds and John Salmons scored a career-high 23 points. The Sixers (31-32) lost for the fourth time in five games and fell 3 1/2 games behind Atlantic Division-leading New Jersey. Toronto relied on strong 3-point shooting in the fourth quarter to outscore Philadelphia 33-12. The Raptors hit 6-of-10 from beyond the arc in the final 12 minutes. A 16-0 run helped the Raptors overcome a seven-point deficit early in the fourth. Martin started the spurt with a 3-pointer, Matt Bonner had a 3 and Mike James finished it with another 3, giving the Raptors a 94-87 lead with 7:45 left. The Sixers didn't get closer than five the rest of the way. Iverson, the NBA's second-leading scorer with an average of 33.2 points per game, was hurt late in the first half of Philadelphia's victory at Memphis on Sunday. He's expected to miss at least three more games with a sprained and bruised right foot. Salmons started for Iverson and surpassed his previous high of 22 points against Cleveland in 2004. Andre Iguodala had 19 points, with 13 coming on free throws. The Raptors had lost nine of 10 before beating Indiana on Sunday. They are 22-26 since a 1-15 start. The Sixers broke open a close game with a 13-0 run in the third quarter. Salmons started it with a driving layup and Webber finished with a jumper that gave Philadelphia an 81-70 lead. But the Raptors answered with their own run to take control of the game. Iguodala, the runner-up in the dunk contest during All-Star weekend, electrified the sparse crowd with a tremendous slam in the first quarter. Iguodala drove the baseline, went past the basket, leaped and threw down a two-handed reverse jam. Neither team led by more than five points in the first half and Iguodala beat the buzzer with a running 22-footer to cut Toronto's lead to 54-53 at halftime. ^Notes: The Sixers are 2-3 without Iverson this season and 40-61 overall, including playoffs. ...
