Notice they didn't rest Tim Duncan much last night and Parker played nearly the whole game. New Orleans could have come back and won the game if they just had one more player to score in double figures and prevent offensive rebounds. The Hornets have lost 7 games, sure, but had a run in almost every game that could have given them the win. These guys aren't supposed to compete this year but no one told them. They've had to plug too many holes of late when they should have been peaking. I believe they are not about to give up and in about 1 week these guys are going to find their game and go over . 600 for the rest of the season. Teams have adjusted their defenses to try and stop Paul and West, but that's got to leave the weak side open and the players they brought in are not keepers but should have the experience to finish. The Hornets have also shown they can hit clutch shots and play defense. Let's go Hornets! Don't let the Kings take your spot.
I agree, I love how the Hornets compete every night. The last 7 games two players have really fallen off their production. Those two players are Kirk Snyder and PJ Brown. PJ Brown is probably injured or worn down at this point in the season, his rebounding numbers have dropped, and his FG% has been terrible during this losing streak. 33.3% 42.9% 20.0% 33.3% 44.4% 40.0% Normally PJ Brown is shooting well over 50% from the field, but he's been a slump. It's too, bad JR Smith has not stepped up and taken advantage of Snyder's slump. This is the perfect opportunity for him to check his ego and help this team get back into the playoff race.
PJ is hurting and not contributing like he was in December. Speedy seems to have some kind of hip injury but he's not about to come out and if he's out, I don't like the Hornet's chances. Paul has played though his injuries and he's still mercurial and I like his jump shot although his overall percentage is down because he is supposed to be decked everytime he drives. Teams think he will back off. I don't think he will, he's shown to be fearless and earned the respect of every decent player in the League. You flagrant Paul and you will pay dearly.
