It could happen as soon as today.

The Sixers only had two guards capable of handling the ball ? John Salmons and 19-year-old rookie Louis Williams ? for yesterday's game against the Raptors.

?We may do it, just to have a guy around,? said team president Billy King.

King wouldn't say who he had in mind. Among the available free agents are Erick Strickland, Mateen Cleaves, Anthony Goldwire and the NBDL's Tierre Brown.

Former Temple standout Rick Brunson was waived by SuperSonics last week, but the Rockets signed him.

all i have to say is that we shouldnt sign any of them to a contract for more then 10 days. tierre brown IMO is the worst player on the list. he has the handles and is said to have the ability to score, but after last season with the lakers, ive seen that he is nothing but trash

Probably won't sign one now, since Ollie was playing last night.
