12 games | 33.0 PPG | 2.2 RPG | 5.6 APG | 2.4 SPG | 3.1 TPG | 51.4% FG | 42.7% 3PT | 82.7% FT | 20.8 FGA/G He's taking the same FGA he had been taking before the break [actually 0.1 less], and is scoring 4.7 more PPG. He's turning the ball over less, his assists are a little down, but steals are up, percentages are up all across the board, and he's just been insane lately.
thats superstar numbers, better than allstar numbers... still hes not getting recognized by the people... hes underrated, he needs to do some commercials, adidas need to make him his own shoe, he gotta be on national tv more appear on shows and stuff
Though the Wiz lost, Arenas' hot scoring continues. He had 26 points on 10-19 FG against Dallas today. He's improved so much in picking his spots, and knowing when to and when not to attack. Some games he'll have 30 and you won't even notice because of how balanced his attack is, he's scoring in the flow of the game. Arenas truly get's no props though. Outside of Wade, no one else is averaging 30+ PPG on a +.630 TS% [Arenas is at 65%] since the All-Star break, and if you want to go down to about 28 PPG, you can add Yao who's at ~.630 TS%. And it's not just numbers without substance, the Wiz are 7-5 in that stretch.
Arenas has been on a tear all second half of the season. He has a chip on his shoulder because he was left off of the all-star team, and he's using that chip to play an MVP caliber second half of the season. If he would've played like this all season, not saying his first half was bad, because it was awesome as well, he would be a top 4 MVP candidate.
Well the team would also have to win more and be in the 50 win range, but I guess if he was scoring this efficiently all year, the team would be winning more.
Oh yeah, I know. I just hope that next year he can play efficiently like this all-year, that will lead this team to more victories over better teams.
