<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Auburn Hills, Mich ? Brandon Rush says there will be no suspense in coming weeks. He?s returning to Kansas University his sophomore season and not turning pro. Case closed. ?Yes, I?m back next year. I can?t go out like this,? Rush said after scoring nine points off 4-of-14 shooting in the Jayhawks? 77-73 first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Bradley in The Palace of Auburn Hills. ?I was still undecided at the time of the game. Now I?m sure I?m coming back next year.? Rush said he made the decision after looking at his teammates in the losing locker room. ?Just going out in the first round, not giving the seniors what they were trying to get ? ? Rush said, his voice trailing off. ?Immediately after the game, I said it?s best for the whole team to come back next year.? KU coach Bill Self said he still would meet with Rush to discuss his NBA options. ?I will not go on record with you guys and comment on something he and I have not talked about,? Self said. ?I?ll let the dust settle a bit so emotion doesn?t make the decision. He had a great freshman year, not played as well lately. We all get spoiled. He had a great year.? Sophomore C.J. Giles, who said he definitely would be back while looking forward to ?lifting weights and improving my game,? said he was well aware Rush would be back. ?Yes, I know he?ll be back. We?ll all be back,? Giles said. ?We have to use this as motivation in the offseason, in the weight room. We have to remember this feeling every day.? Freshman Julian Wright, who had eight points off 4-of-5 shooting, said: ?We want to remember this feeling and prepare twice as hard for next year. Hit weights, everything that helps the team. We?ve got to look at tape, do whatever it takes to get better.?</div> Source
Thats good they are all coming back. Those three along with Chalmers and Robinson will be hard to stop next year
yes. I still feel that this young ku team(after watching the bradley game) is very immature. they have alot of things to do. They need to protect the ball better and not fall to pressure defenses(if you agree with this say so. doesn't it seem like whenever ku gets pressured, they just stand up straight and lob the ball up in the air. For the love of god, fundamentals. attack the pressure and get a nice bounce pass.)
I'm not holding any of them to their words. After you lose an NCAA tournament game in the first round to a much lower seeded team, I can imagine that it'd be easy to make emotional comments like that. If they still feel that way in May though, then it's probably legit, but not now. If they all really do come back though, it should be a hell of a year for college basketball with no clear #1. Assuming that only the underclassmen who are expected to leave will do so (ie: Morrison, Gay, etc.), it should be a close race between Texas, North Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Memphis, Florida, Ohio State, and hell, maybe even Villanova if Sumpter is back to his old form. Out of all of those eight teams, I don't see a clear favorite to win the title.
I agree, I don't think Rush or Wright will be staying. Next year will be interesting, depending on who leaves for the NBA it could end up being many title contenders or just a couple (UNC, Ohio State)

Sean May got my hopes up when he said he was coming back for another year last season, also I believe Marvin Williams said he was leaning toward coming back as well. The only guy that really was sold on going pro was Rashad McCants, why I may remind those who didn't see it, declared in the locker room It would be nice to see them all back, if Wright didn't have a great late season then he would have his butt back but he has the "p" word. Anyway as VC said there's going to be a ton of teams next season absolutely loaded with talent...and well it's going to be AWESOME! You can't forget teams like Georgetown, LSU, Syracuse, Louisville, Michigan State, UConn and Arizona. All are bringing in impressive recruiting classes where they all already have some nice players to build on to begin with. Not all of them will be in the top ten but you can consider them sleeper teams in 06-07. UNC, Texas, Kansas, UCLA, Memphis, Florida, Ohio State, UConn, Villanova, LSU, Syracuse, Louisville, Georgetown, Michigan State, and Arizona are all teams that can potentially get into the final four next year. That's 14 teams that can get in there, I'm pumped
