How in the heck is Rudy Gay a Naismith Finalist??? How can Shelden Williams, who averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals a game not even be a finalist? And Rudy Gay didn't really do anything special this season(averaged 15 pts, 7 boards). Heck, even Randy Foye and Brandon Roy should have been in there over him, IMO.
Rudy Gay isn't that good, he's just raw talent, I was shocked too when I saw him with the likes of Morrison, Redick, and the other guy that has slipped my mind I think it's going to be Redick, Morrison can score but he isn't in the same conference that Redick is and he isn't getting the same type of exposure
Even though i think Rudy Gay is a really great player,I was a little shocked to see him among the finalists for the award
Damn, that pisses me off. Shelden deffinitly deserves to be a finalist, I think he's been the third best player in the Nation this year. Who was the fourth finalist after Redick, Morrison, and Gay?
I can see why they put Rudy Gay's name down (leading scorer on such a good team) for the top 30 finalists but finalist? As for Shelden Williams maybeI was just wondering, has there been two teammates in recent years who were both Naismith finalists?
