<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Diesel:</div><div class="quote_post">I love Elton Brand, but I think he's finally getting his due this season. In the first half of the season he was the front runner for the MVP award. If that's not getting your due nothing is. To everyone: I don't see how you can be underrated when your an All-Star.</div> He's underatted because Brand is not just an All-Star this season, he's played like a superstar player. A Top 10 guy, maybe even Top 5 depending on the person.
kirilenko is underrated.. he should've been in the all-star lineup... he has the best defense in the nba in my opinion... a great shot blocker..
Not picks, but points... 1. If AK is not on your list, you should be ashamed. 2. Is OG the only one with the sense to list Mr. Wallace? (Not THAT Wallace, or that Wallace either... but THAT Wallace) 3. Some of these guys (Marion, Brand, Gasol) are finally getting their due this year, as I see it. But I guess "underrated" is related to what your experiences are. If they air 7 segments on the emergence of Pau on ESPN this year, and you see every one, you might not think he's under-rated. If you miss them... 4. I know I posted something on this earlier in Yao's defense, but on the flip-side, he's amoung the leading vote getters for the ASG every year. C'Mon now, you guys can do better than that. 5. Just some names that might be worth mentioning that I don't think have been mentioned yet; Brevin Knight, Okur, Battier, Camby (I live in Denver, and it's all about Melo. Boykins get's more ink in the papers than Camby does.) J. Will (don't laugh. Now that all the hype's died down and he get's no press anymore, he's playing solid and making good decisions), Haslem, R. Evans (did someone mention him?) Hinrich, R. Lewis, LeBron and of course, the great Milt Pilacio. I could think of more, but that's off the top of my head. Cheers, >j< PS - In case you missed it, the LeBron thing was sarcasm.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DH_05:</div><div class="quote_post">what's wrong with Kirilenko???</div> the guy should be an allstar.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DH_05:</div><div class="quote_post">what's wrong with Kirilenko???</div> Who said anything was wrong with Kirilenko? I was saying he should be on everyones list of underrated players. But then, if he was, maybe he wouldn't be underrated. >j<
Its none of them Shawn Marion is getting reconized its Ben gordan look at the stats. he is making the bulls seem like they have jordan back the bulls are getting better by a long shot now. 2005-06 Statistics PPG 16.3 RPG 2.70 APG 2.9 EFF + 11.36
Sorry, to me Ben Gordon has been a dissapointment this year . . . In fact I think they're better with Duhon and Hinrich in.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Greazy9:</div><div class="quote_post">...Brevin Knight...</div> Rekonyze.
Dwight Howard... maybe to Orlando fans he's a godess. But i really think he's most underrated player next to Marion, AK47 Gerald Wallace and Zack RAndalph (sorry if i spelled it wrong)
1. Shawn Marion- I thought that he was better than all the forwards that were selected to start in the All-Star game this year. He could do everthing and is an excellent defender. 2. Gerald Wallace- started his career underrated. He was drafted in the late first round because all the teams didn't think he could shoot. He turns out to be an all-around player who is good on defense and rebounding. This offseason, he almost didn't even get signed to a team! 3. Joe Johnson- one of the most versatile players who can pass like a point guard, shoot like a shooting guard, rebound like a forward, and post up like a center. 4. Elton Brand- undersized + underrated, but with a big heart and tries his best. He showed that he could be a MVP type player if he is surrounded with talent. He is a sufficient blocker, scorer, rebounder, and defender. 5. Reggie Evans- the next Dennis Rodman who led the league in rebounds per 48 minutes is so underrated that he will probably only get a MLE in the offseason. 6. Kaman- grew a lot and is now thriving without much shot attempts. 7. Gasol- He is still a soft player who doesn't like contact, but like all foreign players, he is a good shooter. He is improving on his toughness, rebounding, leadership, and defense. 8. Ron Artest- Only reason he is underrated is because of his attitude. Other than that, he is worth way more than just Peja. He is the best defender in the NBA and is only 26 years old. He can shoot, defend, rebound, and pass well. 9. Kwame Brown- Many people think he is the biggest bust in NBA history, but he is only 23 and is like a veteran rookie in the NBA right now. He has pulled his acts together and became a better player recently, and has been good on defense all year. I've never seen a guy score 20+ points on him yet. With his physical talents, he will be a monster in the future. 10. Tony Parker- Guys don't realize how important he is to the Spurs because of Manu and Duncan. Without Tony's quick first step that makes defense collapse on him, Bowen would have less threes and Manu and Duncan would not be as good.
I think Ginobili is underrated. Other than Kobe and Wade, I think he's the best two-guard in the game. He doesn't get a lot of numbers because Popavich limits his minutes.
