we didnt have a chance last year and we dont have one this year. i dont think anyone expects us to advance the first round, so if we're in it, its basically playoff experience for the young guys

Is it because of getting a better draft pick by a couple spots, facing the Pistons (regardless of seed, if you plan on advancing, you're going to face off against the best sometime) or something else?
i thinl honestly we do have a chance if we can get Iggy involve like we ar suppose to then we will be okay. Last year we did have a chance the first game we shouldve won but we let it go. the second one we had a decent chance. The third one was ours for show. The 4th game we had but we let it go i thinl we have just as a good chance at detroit then the would have at us if we were number one and they were the 8th seed playing us Holla

I mean being three or four games below .500 you don't even deserve a playoff berth. Unless the 76ers make a complete turn around from right now, then I think it in this teams best interest to just rebuild. I don't know why I feel this way, I just do. The 76ers aren't going anywhere as an 8th seed, and right now it doesn't look like they'll get any higher of a seed.

Are you kidding me? How? Allen will get his, no doubt about that. Iguodala needs to be more aggressive, but he hasn't been doing that anymore. He only steps up when either AI or CWebb are out for whatever reason. Plus, he can only guard one guy (Rip or Tayshaun), not both. Korver... please, the Pistons made him look like a WNBA player everytime they have played him. They completely take him out of the game offensively, and torch him defensively. Webber will have a few good games, but he is no match for Sheed and/or Big Ben. Dalembert played very well last year in the series against Detroit, but he hasn't been playing very well recently, and he is just completely stupid. Salmons ... don't even get me started on that fruitcake. Bottom line is that we would be lucky to win one game against Detroit. If we don't get the sixth seed or higher, then we might as well not even make the playoffs. We should be better than we were last year, and so far that has not happened, and it doesn't look like we'll finish with a better record, nor a better playoff seed than we had last year. The only good thing is that our young guys will get some more playoff experience, but that isn't good enough for me. Ownership needs to make one decision right off the bat: what are we trying to do? Are we trying to win now, or are we building for the future? If we are trying to win now, then they should be willing to spend the money to win now. If we are trying to rebuild, then trade AI and start the rebuilding process.
