Scott, who will be honored next Sunday when the Atlanta Hawks are in town, might have something special up his sleeve. "I might have to hit a '3' for old time's sake," said Scott, whose specialty was the 3-point shot when he played for the Magic from 1990-1997. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children and is the color radio analyst for the Hawks. "You're very appreciative that they recognize the seven years of service I gave them. I look at this Hawks team, with all their young guys, and those memories of what we did in Orlando come back." Scott has a 6-month-old son named Dennis Scott III. "We call him 'Trey D,' " Scott said, laughing. Hill not practicing yet but is on trip Magic forward Grant Hill is on the team's two-game road trip but said he doesn't know when he will be able to practice with the team. Hill is on his third rehab stint this season as he recovers from complications of sports hernia surgery performed Oct. 31. He said several days after leaving the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 10 that he would take about a week to rest. "I haven't tried doing anything yet," he said. Hill was not in attendance at the Magic's previous game Friday night in Orlando, a victory against the Boston Celtics. "Had the flu," he said.</div> Source
Scott in my opinion was underrated. Sure he was Rookie and POY in the ACC and has an international reputation as a scorer, but he was also a tough competitor who almost won a National Champioship in the final four for Bobby Cremins (a coach who should have won at least one) and he was Orlando's first superstar along with Shaq. I'm glad to see him honored.
