<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">March 20, 2006 -- Pat Riley brought it up. He said the all-time great that Dwyane Wade - at this point in his career - should be compared to is Michael Jordan.
"There are so many similarities other than size," Riley said.

While Jordan stood 6-foot-6, Wade is at best 6-foot-4, but that doesn't stop him from dominating a game.

When Wade , who grew up in Chicago, left late in the fourth quarter, the sellout Garden crowd even gave him an appreciative ovation because he had dropped 30 points, five boards and nine assists in the Heat's 111-100 victory.

What really was Jordan-esque about Wade's performance last night was how he used his poor performance from Saturday - when he had just one field goal among his 15 points - as motivation. Instead of sulking, Wade, 23, studied video to learn from his tough outing against the Bulls.

"He is very methodical," said Riley of Wade's preparation.

    .............

"I'm a Chicago guy so, of course, I emulated Michael a lot," Wade said.</div>

It's a pretty good comparison, in my opinion. Jordan fanatics will go wild "No one will ever, ever, ever, ever compare to Jordan!!!!!" but Wade's game is similar to a young Jordan.

Jordan, of course, had more size and athleticism and probably looked for his own shot a little more (less of a PG mentality).
