the Lakers need a big guy and a guy who can handle the ball. Glen Taylor, Hassan Adams, Josh Boone, Daniel Gibson.

They need a PG. Marcus Williams would be great alongside Kobe IMO if he could stay out of trouble off the court.

I want Randy Foye playing PG, and then we should try to get Boozer IF we don't get rid of Odom, and I don't know how that is possible.

At this point, you guys should take the BPA, preferablly a scorer. Kobe cant win games alone. maye a guy like Gibson or Foye?

The player I want the Lakers drafting is Eric Hicks from Cincinnati. I wouldn't mind Leon Powe either, but his game wouldn't fit in the Triangle.

Eric Hicks however, is exactly the type of player the team is missing. He's built like a tank and plays like a warrior on the court. He's only 6'6, but has a 7 foot wingspan and is more than capable of guarding players on the perimeter.

Leon Powe, that would be very nice.

I want a PG, one capable of staying with the quick guards in the west.

I also wouldn't mind Tyrus Thomas, Paul Davis, Paul Millsap, or Quincy Douby (have to start him), or Darius Washington. I would say Shelden Williams also, so we will have Bynum AND Shelden Williams, and have a deadly frontcourt in the center. Williams is unlikely to happen though. But, I still think our primary choice should be Randy Foye.

You guys should shoot for Rajon Rondo, great PG, much better defender than Parker.

He'll be long gone before the Lakers pick. The Lakers are drafting in the #26 slot, Rondo isn't getting past the lottery.

i also checked ranjo on nba draft net and it says he is only 6-2. i dont know much about the triangle, but i dont think he will fit well because of his size. the only reason why i said the lakers should draft dee brown in the second was because although he is small, he is very quick. i dont think ranjo can match his speed

on a side note, nba draft net has us drafting Kevin Pittsnogle??

<div align="center">[IMG] please dont draft him mitch! please! although i wont be reallly surprised if he did since he is a big that can shoot

NBADraft hasn't based it's mock draft on team needs yet. Right now they are just listing out the top 60 players. So if you look at their mock they feel Pittsnoogle the 26th best player in this year's draft.

You don't have to worry about the Lakers drafting him, the Lakers already have a perimeter shooting PF in Brian Cook.

Ah, my fault. Then I would probably say a guy like Marcus Williams if he drops or Daniel Gibson in the first round, and a guy like Powe or Hicks in the 2nd.

^His length and athleticism definately makes up for his size. Not all shorter big men are gonna be bad bro, lol.

We need Dee Brown! He might actually slip down to our pick since Illinois got eliminated in the first round. After watching Smush getting beaten on the first step every game this season, I think we really need the tough defense of Brown. He can also make jumpshots and find open teammates. Paul Davis is the second option. He is like a better version of Chris Mihm, and drafting him would open up the option of trading Mihm for Boozer. In the second round, we should draft James White. He has one of the worst jumpshots, but he is a freak athlete who can rebound, pass, and play good D.

First off, Illinois got eliminated in the 2nd round to Washington, next off Dee Brown is sometimes inconsistent and will be there, and you can't consider him slipping because he's not a 1st round talent because of his size. Paul Davis would be ok, but Mihm is more of a post presence, Davis is a Vlade Divac type player. Next, Mihm and trash won't get you Boozer, next Boozer isn't leaving Utah unless you throw in something really good like Odom. boozer has been averaging 23 ppg 14 rpg the last 7 games so his price might be rising. Just thought you'd like my input [IMG]

Davis is a Divac type player? Please explain.

If Utah doesn't make the playoffs it would be justified for them to blow the team apart and rebuild. Chris Mihm gives them a cheap, servicable center and unloading Boozer's contract is definitely step 1 in rebuilding in Utah.

Boozer's agent, Rob Pelinka has been trying to push for his client to be traded out of Utah. He would like nothing more than to pair Boozer with his other client, Kobe Bryant here in Los Angeles.

Boozer was close to being a Laker last year, remember the whole Jack Haley fiasco? I wouldn't rule him out of being traded.
