no GT from wat I can see so I'll just make one. Heat's up 7 at the half i believe things are going very good and Shaq is dominating with 14 points in the first half we need to keep this up though.

Wow this whole game was Shaq against the Pistons with some minor help from J-Will, Antoine Walker, and Udonis Haslem. Too bad they all disapeared in the 2nd half. I am still amazed at why the HEat kept going with 20 foot jump shots with Wade rather than dish it to Shaq who was having a phenomal game late in the fourth. I now see where Shaqs anger at not getting the ball late in the game was coming from.

I was amazed at the poor officiating bias toward Detroit as well. Wade was taking ah heavy beaty bt they refused to give him calls. Tayshaun Prince was getting all the calls. How about that one where James Posey was claerly planted outside of the circle, but Prince jumps right into Posey and gets the And1 play? How about Ben Wallace grabbing Shaqs hook shots while their still in the cylinder?

That and the turnovers killed us. AND Wades atrocious performance. I don't get his decisions at the end.

You can't be serious? Heat got away with murder all night long. Half of Shaq points were offensive fouls. Wade got as he always does plenty of bail-out calls. Breathing on him is obviously not allowed anymore. Blocks were called fouls and whenever the Pistons attacked the rim they were bumped but no call.

I find it laughable you think the Pistons got favoured with the calls.

Posey wasn't set and was under the basket. You can't take a charge when you are in the circle. Posey was still moving backwards.

Na Shaqs plays were clean. For just as many offensive calls you can find on him I can find just as many if not more times where he was taking a beating. Not many people see the beating Shaq takes just because he doesn't fall to the ground like a Wade/Iverson. Wade was getting no calls. He went to the line what 4 maybe 5 times? For a player averaging 12 that is pretty suspicious while Wade kept his aggressiveness.

You may be right at the Posey one, I would have to see it again, but I remember I almost had a heart attack when it happened. [IMG]

Fact is the refs let a lot of plays go on both sides of the ball, but IMO lots more in favor of Detroit.

As soon as I saw the Heat lost, I knew you would come along and make some hating posts.
Half of Shaq points were offensive fouls?
I admit that McDyess block on Shaq was clean but they called it a foul but other than that, how were half of his points offensive fouls?
The officiating was pretty fair in that game until the fourth quarter, the Heat did get away with some calls but other than that, I give the Pistons props for their tight defense. They totally owned the Heat in the second half.

I thought the officiating in general was terrible in this game. One half the officials called the game tight, and the next half they let the game get more physical. Inconsistent officiating is killing the NBA.

The Pistons used the same blueprint they've been using to beat the Heat. They want Shaq to shoulder the weight of the offense and focus on shutting down the other four players on the court. Without Shaq drawing double teams, the Heat's offense doesn't flow as well.

A major concern for the Heat is Alonzo getting injured in this game. Without him, the Heat are going to really struggle in the post season against Detroit. Another concern has to be the PG matchup. Jason Williams was getting abused and backed down easily by Billups. Payton also couldn't contain Billups, and Detroit will be sure to go to him when they need a basket.

If I really hated the Heat I would be posting in here after every loss the Heat have had. When there is a Pistons thread I would normally reply to It. I wouldn't of actually posted but had to reply to Diesel's post.

I could really care less about the Heat until they meet the Pistons in the conference finals. Although I do try and catch some of their games due to the fact I like Wade.

Alot of Shaq's early points were pushing off the Pistons defenders or elbowing them in the face. Thats certainly not legal. But hey Shaq has gotten away with that crap for over 10 years so no point in going on about It.

The refs were consistantly bad to both teams.

Wade had alot of problems with Lindsey Hunter, part of that is due to Lindsey great D but also Wade you could tell was tired and just wanted to get back home. Hense so many jump-shots.

Anyone else notice Shaq looks slimmer than he has in about 5 years? I am surprised he actually didn't collapse at the end of the game after playing 43 minutes. It will be interesting to see if that affects him tonight.

Well they are facing the worst team in the NBA at home, so I don't think Shaq is going to play a lot of minutes tonight.

22 points and 9 rebounds in only 25 minutes of play. Also a blowout. I'd call that a good night. [IMG]
