While I like JRich's game, it's his personality and attitude that makes him my favorite player. He'll do anything to win. And yeah, he has a good contract. If he was a FA right now he'd be getting 80+ like Redd.

Dun actually played well. Dang. That's 3 out of 4 games played well so far.

I'm still insisting BTW that Foyle/Murphy is the not the team you want to build around a backcourt driven team. Also, it may or may not be a good idea to rush Diogu/Ellis/Biedrins or any of these guys in just yet if they are not mentally ready to play team ball. It has to become instinct. Also how do we get these deadweight deals off the roster? Got to play them where they can be of help to the team and also stir up interest. This offseason, lots of things could happen with guys no longer in BYC status and we've got extra picks.

I cringed when Dampier foiled Foyle's dunk. We need to get this 7' expensive piece of fat off the roster.

I wish Adonal was a 7 footer. He'd at least be a defensive presence on size alone.

Wow, I just checked the box score when I got back from a mandatory poetry reading at my school. Damn that looked like an awesome game and I'm pissed that I didn't get to watch it.

It was the best game in months. Seriously.

Not very often we win when the other team is shooting a higher % and getting to the foul line a lot more, + rebounding the ball better.

Live by the three, die by the three, I guess...

Thank God we weren't shooting free throws like "normal".

If anything, it was the most entertaining game of the year.

Aside from Foyle dropping rebounds with nobody around him it was fun to watch. You can't get more fundamental-less than not catching the freakin' ball! But at least we won.

Awww man, I missed one of the most exciting games of the season.

I did hear close to the end of the game and then had to go play ball, so never did find out the Warriors had won until I got back [IMG].

I thought the Warriors were going to lose again as they were down by 3 and Tim Roye was talking about how different teams handle being up by 3 and with little time left. Some intentionally foul while others don't. I was saying to myself Avery doesn't do that because he talked about it earlier in the season. Blah, blah, blah...

This is another step towards allstar-dom for JRich. Hitting game winners against tough teams will help you get there. The other is to hit them in tough situations when your team needs it or in big games.

Let's keep JRich. He's home grown and if your team can't grow your own stars, then there not much point in having a team huh?

Well he actually snatched a few rebounds with tenacity -- the problem was he was trying to wrestle them away from his own teammates.

Damn! He went over the back on Mike Dunleavy to wrestle with him for control of the ball, which bobbled out of bounds. That should have been a foul.

It looked like he was trying to "pad" his stats like my main man Murph.

Oh yeah, Foyle, pad those stats baby. IF you average 10 points and 10 rebounds a game from here on out, your season stats will soar way up, to like 5 points a 4 boards a game. Then you'll truly be deserving of that top-tier contract in your pocket.

    Okay, I'll shut up now.

I can't believe that I am hearing this. Foyle was actually "fighting" for rebounds (even though they were from teammates)????

IF Foyle can just get his rebounding numbers up, then he'll be a serviceable center. Not a STARTER, but still serviceable. What's been painful is watching him defer to teammates and the other team and not look like he's trying to go after the ball.

Block shots, rebound, try to stay in front of your man and not fumble at least 50% of the balls you get. Is that too much to ask? Yes, you have to keep a FUMBLES stat with Foyle.

He actually tipped a few out on purpose as well... If Foyle had that much energy every game I'd be ok with him taking up a roster spot.

I'm not too crazy about tipping the ball out to teammates as things could go wrong really fast doing that. That said, since Foyle's undersized for a center and if he can control the tips, then he should go for them occasionally.

What would be really nice is see him block out his man, get position and fight for the rebound.

Imagine the Warriors with a decent starting five and some decent roles instead of marginal starters that don't help fix the problems we have with our lack of honest inside/outside game and reliable defense.

I looked back over what most analysts had the Warriors going as and most said we'd miss the playoffs. Some said playoffs, but keep in mind, how reliable are bay area writers that get paid to say whatever they want (writers are often not analysts) like Tim Kawakami and Skip Bayless. If I want something reliable I'm going to the guys that have a good reputation, that do their homework. Maybe guys like Las Vegas bookies who are laying money down on the line as their job and can't afford to be wildly inaccurate.

The guys who said 8th seed or higher were bay area homers talking out of their asses or guys not the most reliable when it comes to basketball. Whoever pegged the Warriors top or near the top of the pacific before the season started, must be overly hopeful or out of their minds. What in the Warriors last 12-season history has proven that we are capable of making the playoffs by casting one-pass, off the dribble, three point shots, in high volume and playing no defense all season long while relying on one guy to create that style of play. We basically got a 1-2 month run out of a one man show where guys lived and died by threes, and we hoped the trend would continue with Pietrus/Dunleavy/Zarko? No way, those are three of the most streakiest players from downtown on our entire roster... It either rains or its a drought. Jrich has been trying to carry this team since '03 and it's just not enough when you consider his own limitations and the fact this is a team game played by percentages. You execute and you play defense. And if we don't do both, we lose.

It could be said maybe if we played more rookies, had a better coach, or maybe if we shot more free throws, played more "prevent" defense, we'd make playoffs. But what in the history of the Warriors franchise since Cohan took over can this assumption be based off of? The last half season when we were stastically eliminated from the playoffs and teams stopped respecting us? This team thrived when were running to the three point arc, hitting those shots, and guys would double Baron. Now it's like, crowd the middle, let the Warriors shoot. Guys like Baron, Dunleavy, Murphy, Pietrus, Fisher shoot 41% to 38% in volume and have trouble finishing layups or with their midrange games. If the W's show some signs of playing like a fastbreak transition team why can't they run fastbreaks without Baron or why can't they play transition defense as well?
