Toronto released C Antonio Davis. Could the Bulls sign him? If interested can the Bulls sign him straight away or is there a waiting period?
We where quoted (John Paxson) has saying he would love to have Davis back in Chicago after the Knicks trade went down. We where going to pursue him this summer regardless, because he is a good veteran leader, who will likely sign cheap. So yeah I see us resigning him when the season is over, but not now unless we get into playoff position. Even if he will not be playing his leadership would be valuable
If you do sign him, he won't be able to play on the Bulls playoff roster, if they make it. Just a heads up to those that are gonna base their opinions in response to this thread.
If you sign him it will just be for support on the bench or something. He's in no condition to play the game of basketball. Well, at least not in the NBA.
the bulls cant sign him now because our roster is full since we added randy livingston yesterday. im mad too because antonio davis has missed 12 games and once we sign someone to a 10 day contract to fill up our roster the next day they want to release him.

Davis was released by the Toronto Raptors on Thursday. Would the Bulls consider signing him with 13 games left? Coach Scott Skiles said he had not yet discussed such a move with general manager John Paxson. "I understand he has a back injury,'' Skiles said. "I basically know what I've read. He wouldn't be playoff-eligible. I don't know if it makes sense or not.''</div> <div align="center"> Source</div>
