<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jerry West:</div><div class="quote_post">Interesting move. I'll wait until i know the reasoning before passing judgement.</div> Again, I don't really think giving someone the starting job necessarily affects their minutes, but I wouldn't disagree with Wright playing more minutes either. He's playing a lot more inspired as of late, and Jake's had some bad showings, particularly in the Pacers game that I went to.
I didn't even mention minutes, simply that i he was in the starting lineup. Anyway, he's done okay and obviously the job is his for a while now.
I really wonder about players who don't play well in contract years. If signing another large deal during the summer isn't enough to motivate you to play hard, than what will? Lo Wright better start doing some things with his extra minutes, or he better have a very productive post-season.
It's been a tough few years for Lo, with his childs death and his trade demands in the off-season. He hasn't been horrible this year, it's just that Fratello hasn't given him many opportunities this year (and rightly so). We're not going to re-sign him, so i see little point in giving him a shitload of minutes.
Fair first quarter by Lo today (albeit against the shorthanded Bobcats). 13 and 7 before sitting late in the quarter.

He's not been great this year, but he's extremely well respected and liked in our lockerroom, and he has been quite professional and classy about his demotion.

Kind of puts one in his place. Damn I miss West in the Lakers front office.
