Game starts today at 4:05 ET.

Texas beat West Virginia in arguably the best game of the tournament on a buzzer beater...and LSU took out the #1 seeded Duke Blue Devils 62-54.

This game will be all about the big men with Glen "big baby" Davis going up against budding star LaMarcus Aldridge. Tyrus Thomas and Brad Buckman will go at it at the forward position.

So who do you all think will pull this one out?

I've been with LSU since the beginning of the tournament. I think that size upfront will wear Texas down.

Im really liking thes ending games of the tournement. I really like Paulino, Abrams, Tucker, Aldridge and Buckman, but I love the whole LSU team so not much of a comparison in my mind. Glen Davis and Tyrus Thomas VS LaMarcus Aldridge will be nice to watch and Paulino, Gibson and the others wont be bad either but I believe in Garrett Temple he'll shut down whoever he needs to after what he did to JJ Redick. I really hope LSU wins tonight. I think it will be a close game, but Texas barely edges them out. I do have them in the Final 4 in one of my brackets though, so I hope the SEC can pull it out.

I think Texas will probably pull it out in the end though, but that entirely rests on Daniel Gibson's shoulders. He needs to be patient and not force shots. It's crazy that just last year a few supposed 'experts' called him the best point guard in the NCAA, when in fact, he's not even a true point guard. The kid just has no vision, no playmaking ability, etc. In the tournament, you need to have a point guard who can handle the pressure of a close game and not make stupid decisions, and I'm just not sure Gibson is one of those point guards.

I, too, am taking Texas to get it done tonight. While I believe these two teams matchup well, I don't see the freshman Tasmin Mitchell being able to shutdown P.J. Tucker. IMO, the lanky LaMarcus Aldridge should be able to hold is own down low against Glen Davis...I just simply like Texas' experience to be too much for the young Tigers.

    Texas- 71
    LSU- 63

If LSU can play defense the way they played on Thursday, then I think they can pull off another upset. However, I don't think they can come out with another preformance like that, and Texas will come away with the victory.

Tyrus Thomas is a warrior. I'm liking this team more every time I watch them.

LSU wins by 10 in OT and is the 1st team to make the Final 4. The big guys just dominated inside as Tyrus Thomas had 21 and 13 and Big Baby had 26 and 9.

I was doing some scouting from my living room and it was a very entertaining game. I liked what I saw from Tyrus Thomas. He's very athletic and works hard. He's a Stromile Swift clone physically, but mentally he's way ahead of him. Not a sure fire #1 pick like Larry Brown said, but I know this guy will be good. He got up pretty high on the alley-oops and has excellent timing when blocking shots. He's very raw offensively, but he showed a decent touch from the midrange area. If he can perfect that shot and working on his handle a little bit, he'll be okay.

No matter how you cut the cake, LaMarcus Aldridge was TERRIBLE. For someone listed as consensus #1 pick, he didn't show up at all. I think it will be best for him to stay another year at Texas because of the bad final impression he left. He shot 2-14 from the field and didn't get to the line not even once. The way LSU kept him out on ther perimeter proved he needs to add some more weight to be effective. There's no excuse, even going up against the 300-pound Glen Davis. Aldridge should have been using his quickness and athleticism to run circles around him. He reminds me a lot of Channing Frye.

Overall, the game was very exciting. It was close all throughout and went to overtime. I'm not a big college hoops junkie, but this might all change.

Looks like the SEC is back!!!

Glen Davis' strength turned out to be too much for Aldridge(shot 2-14 from the floor)! And Tyrus Thomas is the freaking man! 21 points, 13 boards, and 3 big blocks! Glen Davis also dominated Aldridge on the offensive side of the floor with 26 points!!!

    Geaux Tigers!!!

That's great to hear...because you'll come to find out that college basketball is much, much, much better than the pro game!!!

The big men from Florida would beg to differ as we're 2-0 against them. [IMG]

I really hope not to see LSU anymore. It's too tough to beat a team 3 times. i think LSU would beat us if we met in the championship.
