Yeah, that's what I was wondering earlier during the game. But, don't know if they are.

The eleven-seeded LSU Tigers beat the one-seeded Kentucky Wildcats in the 1986 to make the Final Four.

The lowest seed to ever win the championship is the eight-seeded Villanova Wildcats in 1985.

Does George Mason have any NBA prospects, that are projected to go anywhere?

Damn, I've pulling for Denham to hit that shot at the end, just 'cuz he's from Toronto. Its amazing how simple, yet effective GM's offense was.

It's good I didn't join any pools this year, my bracket would be totally screwed up because of George Mason. Do you guys think they can beat Vill or Florida?</div>

I was just pulling for George Mason because they were the underdogs.

I had UConn winning the tournament but my bracket was already destroyed. I'm glad to see GMU win because UConn has been making me sick with their lack of heart the whole tournament.

I love George Mason! Thomas came up huge for George Mason. Butler's three pointers really opened up the post and drew the defense away from Lewis and Thomas. What a game.

Sammy Hernandez actually attended my HS for a year before he left to Arlington Country Day but now my pick is LSU their size and athleticism is just amazing.

I love when they get pumped up. Especially Tyrus Thomas, usually when he makes a block.

^^I think Tyrus is probably the most talented player left in the tourney.

I go to George Mason to be honest, so I'm pretty pumped.

I told everyone all year about how great George Mason was, seriously. That's why I was so big on those CAA threads.

But even I didn't have them doing this. In fact, I had them losing to Michigan State in all the brackets I made except one. I really would have picked them to beat a lot of teams, but I was pretty high on MSU.

But they are the biggest underdog ever to make the Final 4, that's for sure. LSU was the same seed but I doubt they compare to a midmajor that people didn't want in the tournament in the first place.

By the way, Denham Brown pushed off BIG TIME to get that open 3 he missed at the buzzer. If they had won on that shot, I would have whined so much.

Yeah man, I remembered that you'd been supporting them all season long. You were always there in the rankings thread to tell us that George Washington wasn't the best team in the area; too bad no one listened. [IMG]

And damn, that Michigan State game that got it all started for the Patriots was such a huge letdown for me on so many levels. You know the Spartans had the talent, and that's the most frustrating part about it. It's one thing to lose a hard fought game to a more talented team like we've done before in the past, but this was the first time I can recall seeing the Spartans not playing up to their potential in a long time. But Mason is redeeming Michigan State with their success. Yeah, MSU was so talented and went out early, but then the team that beat them went on to beat UNC and even UConn, the most talented team in the country, supposedly. So who can blame MSU for that!

You know, after watching GMU coach Jim Larranaga all day on ESPN, there's only one thing I can say: that dude is a f***ing pimp. Handing out donuts to the students, quoting great literature, leading one of the most improbable upsets in sports history, and being consistently humorous and engaging in his interviews. I want that guy to come be Bo's top assistant [IMG] Very cool story, great coach, there's nothing not to like about George Mason.

I would love them, but they are against my Gators. They will be everyone's team to pick, Gators will be at a huge disadvantage crowd wise as everyone wants to see George Mason advance. I hope whoever wins our game wins the championship, because if they beat the Gators, then I will cheer for them.

Not sure if anyone has already brought this up, but isn't this the first time no #1 teams have made it to the Final Four?

    It happened once in 1980.
