How can Amare not be on anyone's list?

Also before I post mine does this only include current NBA players or also college and high schoolers?

It is too hard to predict the top 10 players in 8 years. Wade will be 32 and I'm not sure if he;ll last all those years with his current style of play. LeBron will most definetly be up there along with most likely Greg Oden and OJ Mayo, but other than that it is near impossible to tell. 8 years is an awfully long while.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting K8B:</div><div class="quote_post">Arenas, anyone?</div>

I thought about Arenas, but he will be 32yrs. old in 8 years and if he keeps on driving in and getting banged around inside, he could be in bad health and injury-prone by then.

Wade will be 32 and I don't think he will be as good as he is now once all the diversions are gone. (Walker, Payton, Shaq, Williams) Lebron and Mayo will be tied since Mayo is a freak athlete who will be near his prime in 8 years. LJ is better in offense, but Mayo will also be a defensive force (unlike LJ)

^but what makes you think Lebron won't improve his defense by then? And based on what information do you believe Mayo will be a defensive force?? I personally don't think OJ would even be in my top 5 by then.

Oh and the reason Amare was not on my list was because of his injuries.

I left out Amare because who knows how badly this injury could impact his career, I definately do not think Arenas is top ten now or then. I didn't post any college or HS guys because we don't know how their games will transition into the NBA level, I think Granger may be better than where I posted him as well as Green.

There's a reason why O.J. was named to 2 straight all-defensive high school team. He also has the killer instinct that LJ will never have. LJ is shooting like 1 of 5+ at the buzzer while O.J. is a very clutch player. LJ's defense might improve, but then O.J.'s offense can improve too. (especially since he is more athletic)

In 2014? No one can fathom that one because today's Rookies may be on the downside of their careers. How about in 5 years? In 2010-2011, I predict the top players will be:

    (1) Darko Millicic
    (2) Greg Oden
    (3) Chris Paul
    (4) Pau Gasol
    (5) LeBron James
    (6) Carmelo Anthony
    (7) Nene
    (8) Andre Iguodala
    (9) Raymond Felton
    (10)Tywon Lawson

I know that Milicic will be really good, but better than a Lebron james in his prime?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The Prophecy:</div><div class="quote_post">for what?</div>We're predicting what will happen through 8-9 years, that's too long a time frame, anything can happen then, something like 5 years is more reasonable.

If it's 5 years, here is my list:

    1. Dwyane Wade (I still think he is better than Lebron)
    2. Lebron
    3. Milicic (in his prime)
    4.Dwight Howard
    5. Nene
    6. Paul
    7. 'Melo
    8. Bosh
    9. Iguodala
    10. Oden (would only be in his first few years, so he slipped.)
