How much losing is too much?

    Lets just say the Warriors go another 10 years without making the playoffs (highly unlikely but with our luck...). How many can say truthfully that you would still be a die hard Warriors fan? There is no doubt that we have some of the most loyal basketball fans in the NBA. But how long can you follow a losing team?

    Personally, I could not root for any other team. I would rather give up rooting for basketball (never gonna happen). This season the Warriors, once again, set a season record in attendence for their franchise. I don't really see that changing but you never know.

    I guess this depends on what season it is. If it is in 2008 or 2009, when all the future Hall-of-Famers declare for the draft (Oden and Mayo), then it wouldn't be bad to lose too many games so you can have a good pick. However, if it's a season like this year, when no true star is entering, teams should try to get at least 25 wins to keep their attendance up.

    I started watching basketball with the Warriors and always will, until they move like Cohan said. Never underestimate the power of "hope".

    At least we're drafting well. Financially the W's need to take better responsibility. Few teams are going to take Foyle or Fisher's deal until they're near the end. By that time we probably do some Gilbert Arenas type thing where we can't even match offers because too much has been spent on role players rather than stars. I guess stability is an important issue as well because we had some real disruptive players, but damn... Dunleavy, Fisher, Foyle, Murphy. 4 of those guys were intended to be starters? What other teams besides ours would they start for?
