<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to a report from ESPN Insider, the Spurs made contact with Latrell Sprewell's longtime agent, Robert Gist.

According to the report, the Dallas Mavericks also called to inquire about the free agent's availability for the playoffs, but neither team had much success.

Under collective bargaining rules, Sprewell can sign with any playoff-bound team up until the last day of the season and still be eligible for the postseason. Players who already were on NBA rosters but who were waived in-season must have been waived by March 1 to be playoff-eligible.</div>

A lot of teams have inquired about him because of his talents, but he has indicated that he won't sign for anything less than the MLE, which no team in need of him can offer. It would be either:

    A.) He retires
B.) He hopes a team become dumb enough to offer him a MLE next year.
C.) He gives up his stubborness and signs for what he deserves (veteran's minimum)

I think he would choose B but A is the most likely to happen first.

He should think about it, he can retire with no ring or he can sign with a team and help win a champinship, good chance with the spurs.

Latrene spreewell would prob send the spurs into the poor house with all the money he wants.

This thread sucks too, and is really old news.
