I'm going to start this next Monday. To those of you who don't know what it is, it is a workout program that increases your vertical. For someone with just a 19 inch standing vertical, I hope this will help. For the program just Google "Air alert III".

I'll keep you guys on how much hops I'll gain.

Btw, anyone wanna start on Monday as well so we can push each other through it?

Save your money, and just buy a weighted jump rope.

The whole routine can be found here ... Air alert III workout.

To be honest a lot of your vertical comes from your ab muscles and not your legs. Jumping rope is the best exercise for both, plus it improves your cardio level.

I know, I'm gonna follow that free program. It's the first result when you google Air alert 3. [IMG]

I've read up on the program and many say it overworks you and all, but I'm just hoping to see the 'newbie gain' since this will be the first workout I do. As for getting a jumping rope, I don't know how to jump rope the right way. [IMG] And my abs are sad, more of a beer belly than a six pack.

One of the main exercises for the Air alert 3 is jumping rope though. I guess you can do it without one, but it's not the same.

Jumping rope will teach you how to be light on your feet and give you better balance and also develop your fast twitch muscles. Those muscles help you have more explosiveness.

As for the beer belly, stop drinking soda and cut out all junk food.

Well, I plan on doing that jump rope part without one, and then it'll become just hopping up and down intensely. Jumping rope is definitely one thing I have to get better at but it just doesn't come that easy to me. I have a very slow pace when I do jump rope.

shape, you sound like you've tried AA3. What were your results?

I've never tried any of the Air alerts, but I increased my vert by using a weighted jump rope, strengthening my abs, and running in the sand.

I have no clue how high I can jump just based on a measurement, but from the guys I play football with, I've "got hops."
