If you put the Nuggets V.S Cavs. It would be a close game from what we've seen before. But a lot of people in Toronto compare Carmelo with Lebron. Well I think Lebron is a really good player and avgs alot of points but I think Carmelos better. Here are their stats... These stats are the 05-06 season on Wednesday 29 March Lebron James PPG 31.0 RPG 7.2 APG 6.7 SPG 1.54 BPG .90 FG% .472 FT% .736 3P% .331 MPG 42.9 Melo PPG 26.7 RPG 5.1 APG 2.6 SPG 1.13 BPG .53 FG% .484 FT% .803 3P% .238 MPG 36.9 If you look it says that Lebron he basicly has a better overall avg. But Carmelo plays 6 minutes less. That 6 minutes could easly make carmelos stats a lot better if he was on. I'm not sure what their thinking but, I'm not sure if Carmelo is that atletic and have that much Stamina... I think he needs to be on the court more so he'll be just as respected as him. Dwyane Wade PPG 27.5 RPG 5.8 APG 6.8 SPG 1.88 BPG .77 FG% .496 FT% .783 3P% .176 MPG 38.9 Those are Dwyane Wades stats. Thats really good looking at the minutes played too. Really I lik Carmelo he's my personal favourite player but this time I'm thinking Dwyane Wade is the best out of all of them. He scores a lot and in less time then some players. These 3 player are the future of the NBA. Well who do you think is the best out of all these player?
if you're going to measure how good they are by minutes, why don't you just compare "Per 48 Minute" stats where the numbers are projected to the estimated amount of what the players will achieve in 48 minutes.
I did that too. Lebron Basicly avgs just 0.2 more points then Carmelo not a big difference and Wade is just behind by 0.7. I still think Carmelos the better player.
Lebron plays 4 more minutes than Wade so If you give Wade those four minutes I think his stats would be even with Lebrons or better.
Wade and LeBron are easily better players than Carmelo. However, I'll take Carmelo over both of them if I need a shot to win the game.

[*]LeBron's stats in 42.9 MPG 31 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 6.7 APG, 1.54 SPG, .9 BPG [*]Wade's stats on a per 42.9 MPG basis: 30.3 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 7.5 APG, 2.1 SPG, .84 BPG [*]Anthony's stats on a per 42.9 MPG basis: 31 PPG, 6 RPG, 3 APG, 1.3 SPG, .61 BPG[/list] LeBron vs. Dwyane The only things that Wade would have a better statistical number in is assists, and steals. If you're measuring them by their stats based on LeBron's minutes, per game, LeBron has the advantage over Wade. LeBron vs. Carmelo Even when Melo plays the same MPG, his stats are substantially worse than LeBrons. The only category he matches James in is PPG. James easily takes this away matchup.
LeBron gets minutes probably because of his superior conditioning. Carmelo still has some weight issues that can be cutting into his minutes.

To further go into statistics here, lets look at their true shooting percentage (TS%) and efficient field goal precentage (eFG%). LeBron James' TS%: 55% LeBron James' eFG%: 51% Dwyane Wade's TS%: 56% Dwyane Wade's eFG%: 50% Carmelo Anthony's TS%: 55% Carmelo Anthony's eFG%: 49% As for the best eFG%, Lebron has it by 1% over Wade, while Wade has the best TS% over LeBron and Carmelo both by 1%. Shooting wise, they're all in about the same area. Honestly, I'd take Wade over any of them. I think his ability to get to the rim is unmatched, he's a better defender than both, and he has a beautiful mid-range game.

Quoting Bobcats:

Weight issues? Want to be more specific?
He doesn't strike me as being the most in shape NBA player. I'm sure George Karl knows this and limits his minutes thusly.
Carmelo is easily the worst of the 3 in my opinion. But its tough to tell really. My only thing is that Wade's numbers might be inflated due to having Shaq on the team, giving him open shots and easier penetration. I'd have to see Wade's stats in games when Shaq wasnt playing in order to make a judgement on that though. If the draft happened again today i think Lebron would still go number #1 over wade carmelo and bosh due to 1) he's 9 months younger than Bosh and Melo and nearly 3 years younger than Wade. 2) he's the most marketable player in the league. 3) His versitility gives him and edge over Wade After James i think its up in the air. If i had to do the draft over again i'd say it would go 1) James 2) Bosh 3) Wade 4) Carmelo Reason why i give Bosh the nod over Wade is 1) big men are far far far more rare than 6'4 combo gaurds. 2) Bosh nearly 2 years younger than Wade and even with the fact that big men mature into their game later in their careers(25years old is the norm) Bosh is already putting up 22.5 and 9.2. Their all good players...they'd all go number #1 in this years and last years draft in my opinion.
Dwyne wade has more Steals, assists then lebron. and he has more points, rebonds, steals, and assists then carmelo. so i put it like this. D-wade ( my fav player ) Lebron, then Carmelo

I still don't get what your trying to say, he doesn't strike you as being in shape? Just because he doesn't play as many minutes doesn't mean he's not in shape.
