<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LOS ANGELES ? Vladimir Radmanovic's opportunities are not as bountiful as they were, but his presence has created better scoring chances for his teammates. Since being acquired Feb.14 from Seattle for forward-center Chris Wilcox, Radmanovic has added a long-range shooting threat to the Clippers' offense, something it lacked since Eric Piatkowski left the Clippers in 2003. In 20 games with the Clippers, Radmanovic has hit 47 of 111 three-point attempts. Clippers fans have become so enthralled with Radmanovic's shooting prowess that they raise their arms in unison when he hoists a shot from beyond the arc and groan in unison if the shot does not go in. Radmanovic already had a shooter's reputation, but opponents keyed on him during an eight-game stretch in which he sank 27 of 51 three-pointers. "Once he gets it going, he's a terrific shooter," said Elgin Baylor, the Clippers' vice president of basketball operations. With defenders running at Radmanovic now whenever he gets a look in three-point territory, All-Star forward Elton Brand and center Chris Kaman have more space to operate and fewer occasions when defenders swarm them. "It opens our team up a whole lot," point guard Sam Cassell said. "It gives us a big guy who can shoot the ball, with range, and it gives Elton Brand and Chris Kaman more opportunities in the post. It's given us a lot more options." Radmanovic has not forced shots recently. Instead he has found teammates open for shots or pump-faked his defender out of position and drove to the basket. "He's made some good plays for us," Coach Mike Dunleavy said. "He fits in well and has given us a different dimension that we were looking for." Radmanovic has been a solid defensive rebounder and a good team defender. He is averaging 6.2 rebounds in 30 minutes per game. "He does a good job of reading, knowing when to double-team and he definitely can rebound the basketball," Cassell said. Baylor said: "He's really good at providing weak-side help defensively and he seems to be a fun guy, too. His teammates like him. He's helped us quite a bit." </div> Source
Yup, like I said, this was a great trade for both teams, Seattle is loving Wilcox, and VladRad is doing 10 times more than Wilcox would've on the team. Imagine how it would've been with Wilcox if Mobley got injured, the team goes back to 0 outisde shooting. Cassell is nice, but he's not a 3PT shooter.
just a classic example of right player on the right team both are solid contributors when given the right playing time and the right role/playing system
