<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It's the question that can't be avoided as the Nets head for the playoffs hot as hell and with a chance for 50 wins. And of course, it's a question that won't be answered til the last game of the playoffs, whether that be in April, May or June. But Jason Kidd and Richard Jefferson think that yes, this could be the best Nets team of their era...and of course that would make it the best Nets team ever...in spite of the lack of respect they are getting. One big reason: Nenad Krstic.</div>

I think the Nets might get far in the post-season and could upset Miami. If they can stay healthy, then it's going to be tough to stop them. I think this is the best Nets team over the last few years and I think they can be a Finals team also with the players they have now. Kidd is getting back to his old form and Krystic is just a monster, while having Jefferson&Carter on the wings just make this team a nightmare to deal with in the postseason.

its to early to say that this is the best nets team to date. they have the best run of a season they look impressive as of late. but the true gauge of this team is in the post season. a win on the eastern conference will put them at least for me at par with the 2 teams that went to the finals. a NBA championship will definitely prove that this team is the best ever.

Dunno if I'd say best but if they beat Miami they are capable of beating Detroit and they could make the finals don't count them out.

They are definately playin at a very high level of basketball right now. I would not say they are the best ever just yet. In the playoffs, many good teams in the regular season choke. Lets wait till the end of the season to make any conclusions.

They are kind of a streaky, inconsistent team, when you take some wins out of their 10+ win streaks, they're not that great. Then again, they've recently played some really good defense while mantaining a healthy offense with Jason Kidd running the show.

After Detroit, us and the Heat, the rest of the East, in my opinion is water down, the level of teams arent really quality.......so it makes the top teams look a bit greater then they really are...so I dont think you can say this team is better then (01' or the 97-98 team), dont get me wrong the top 3 of Kidd, Jefferson and Carter are better then any top three either team could put on the floor, but players 1-12 as a collective group, I think both of those teams are better.

Of course this isnt including Aba days........

i still think a team of kidd, jefferson, martin, and kittles will be a lot dangerous in the playoffs than the team they have now.

K Mart's injuries and Kittles age scare me with that team. Krstic is becoming a very good big man and look what Vince is doing tonight. I think this team is a very dangerous team.

It's hard to say really. But that team proved to be already successful in the playoffs because they were running. But right now, it's hard to just run and win the playoffs. You have to have a legitimate option down low. During that time my man Kmart was the only one guarding the post (Twin was only good for boxing out). But now they have Nenad and Uncle. Besides, there'll be a lot of close games in the playoffs and you'll need someone like Vince who can create opportunities for himself.

At first I thought yes but you cant say too quickly, they have been inconsistent at times and I need to see more, especially come playoff time. But that game against the Suns....!!!

no way, aside from Krstic, they have vince carter now who has been playing Out Of His Mind. When he shows up to play he is harder to stop than Anyone - including Kobe, LeBron and whoever else. nobody on those finals teams was even close to being as good as him at creating his own shot.
Although Martin did have a nasty streak that kind of intimidated guys, but I think this team would beat that team 4-2 in a 7-game series.
