Would you guys still watch the lakers the way you do know if Kobe wasn't on the team any more. Please tell the truth.
And i'm pretty sure your face would be like this[IMG] if he didn't

id still watch the lakers even without kobe. but im pretty sure kobe will be a laker for life. anyways, without kobe the games would be different. i would miss all the excitement of his clutch shots and just how he plays the game. i would definetly be hard to adjust to, but i would still watch the lakers. im a laker fan, not a kobe fan

I've been following this team for over 20 years so I would definitely still cheer for the Lakers with or without Kobe.

It depends on who we get in return for Kobe. If it was a star like Wade, I'd be fine.

I won't lie. I'm a Kobe fan before I'm a Laker fan. I'd still watch them because I've gotten used to doing that the last 6 years (because of Kobe lol) but I'd follow Kobe's new team more.

Shape said it best. I've been a fan for as long as I can remember. Before and after Kobe. One of my favorite teams was the trio of Nick Van Exel, Cedrick Ceballos, and Elden Campbell. Those were fun games to watch even though we never actually won a title with that roster. Of course showtime is what made me a Laker fan to begin with. Im sure Kobe is staying throughout his career a Laker, but if he ever did leave, I'd still love my Laker team. [IMG]

^ your wrong there. The O.G. Showtime was the Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, A.C. Green and Rambis era of Laker basketball! That was SHOWTIME!!!

Represent the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.

If Kobe left the Lakers, he'd still be my favorite player but the Lakers would still be my favorite team.

I'm a little like you, I'm a kobe fan before a Lakers fan. In fact, I was a hardcore Bulls' fan with MJ, but up until Kobe steps into the league, I'm switching to Kobe cuz I'm an LA guy, I need to root for my LA guy [IMG] .

To answer the question, I had thought about this when Kobe opt out of his contract 2 years ago. And I would say I probably stop watching the NBA if Kobe was leaving the team. I think the NBA is a bunch of rats running around the court asking for more cheese than about winning. Kobe is one of the guy who bring his game 100% every night and without him on the Lakers is a big hit in my head. I wouldn't like any teams else where, but I certainly would rooting for the Lakers to win it all every years. Lakers fan 4 life, hope Kobe doesn't leave the Lakers or else....the game is done and the team is gone, just for me [IMG]

just a question, what are you so called "kobe" fans going to do when he retires? will you just stop watching the nba, or will you turn into a lebron james fan?

Find another player. Thats how they found Kobe in the first place. Plus I like all teams in the NBA but since I used to live in NYC, and live in FL atm I like Knicks, Magic, and Lakers above all else if needed a choice of favorite team.

I agree, the team with NVE and Ceballos was one of my favorites as well. Sedale Threatt was one of my favorite players during that era of Laker basketball.

Like I said, I stop watching the NBA period! And I had never been a Lebron James' fan. I think he's a great player, going to be one of the best to play the game but...he doesn't play like Kobe does at both end of the floor and that what separate him from Kobe. Kobe makes the game so much enjoyable to watch, once he's done, i'm done too. Unless in the future, there is another player who is similar to Kobe such as skill, work ethic, and can D-up anyone, then maybe I start watching him. But unlikely that will happen. It doesn't matter, in the end, I"m all about Kobe or none [IMG]

If you enjoy the passion Kobe plays with, I think you'd really enjoy college basketball.

The NCAA Finals are tomorrow UCLA v. Florida, you should keep an eye on Jordan Farmar from UCLA.
