I admit, living on the east coast, and being preoccupied in the seventies, I have managed to miss or forget this man's story; if what I read is only half true, is pretty remarkable. A must read for all great players (J.R. Smith ?) by-passing college. Reminds me of a guy who went to my high school who won the individual state high school golf championship on a team with Scott Hoch, a guy who could have easily played on the PGA Tour with some seasoning, could make 30 foot putts no matter what or who was trying to distract him, who dropped off his college golf team ......
