I didn't watch the game but I can see that Carter really gave us the win. He really exploded in the 3rd quarter. 12 straight wins baby! Here are the stats. BTW....did Krstic posterize Wade? Kidd 9 pts 9 asts 6 rebs Carter 43 pts 3 rebs 6 asts Jefferson 16 pts 7 rebs Krstic 11 pts 8 rebs Bench pts- 9
Ya, it woulda have been a better win but vince took a break at the start of the 4th let the heat come back. As soon as he came back in he clamped down on wade and was on fire hittin everything.
Nets sent a lound message with their victory tonight. I think the Nets have a great chance of taking the Heat out in the playoffs. Last year, the Heat matched up a lot better with Dooling and E. Jones on the roster. With those two on the court, Wade was able to guard Scalabrine in the series, but now Wade will be forced to guard Kidd or Carter.
The Heat really missed James Posey again. The last two games his defense on the oppenents best perimeter player has been missed. LeBron for 47 then Carter for 43 the next day. Also Jason Williams was out. I think one of PAt Riley's biggest concern s should be our perimeter defense my god. As long as our team is healthy for the playoffs I'm alright. Also I don't get what the big deal is about a 7 footer dunking on a 6'4 guard.

But these last couple games have exposed Wade's defensive liabilities. I don't want to hear anything about Wade's defense being as good or better than Kobe's. He often doesn't guard the other teams best guards and when he does... well you see what happens.

In this streat, they're beating teams who's supposed to be running for the EC and WC crown (detroit, miami, dallas, phoenix). They did not only beat them, they beat them bad. They didn't just get lucky, they made those team play the Nets pace. Oh and unlike the past years, they're not just a fastbreaking team anymore. They have a legitimate half court team. Plus, they now have Vince who's capable of winning the game during crunch time. We all know how important that is in the playoffs. Plus we have Nenad (who I predicted somewhere here in the boards that he'll be a force after his rookie season). I don't think anyone would want to play us during the playoffs. Hence, my sig.
