Byron Scott was more of a role player than superstar for the Lakers. I think the next player to have their jersey retired should be Shaq.

????, if it is to be retired anywhere it should be Orlando since he spent the better part of his career there. He also is thinking of buying the team with Grant Hill to be co-owners.

Anyone at all it should be Kobe when his season is done

Orlando? Are you kidding me? Shaq was there for a mere 4 years and made it to finals once with that team and didnt even win it. They were swept, remember. That series pissed me off cause I rooted for Orlando and would have won my money if they at least took 2 games. The Dream had to spoil it for me.

Shaq's jersey should definately be retired in LA where he played 8 seasons and won 3 titles and MVPs and all that other good stuff.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Jordan's jersey retired in Washington?

Orlando? Uh, no, it will be in LA. He spent 8 seasons with the Lakers and won 3 titles and an MVP. A fued with Jerry Buss and Kobe isn't going to ruin his legacy he built in LA.

They retired wilt's jersey and he was in LA for only 5 seasons and one championship, compared to 8 and 3 championships for shaq. As soon as shaq retires they'll probably pull a reggie miller and have his jersey reitred a few months later.

Matters who retires first, Shaq or Kobe. In that case, I think Shaq definently.

how about robert "big shot bob" horry? without some of his clutch shots, we would have never reached the finals in those three years IMO. but i dont know if hes good enough. after all, he has never been more than just a role player

Yeah as long as he is cool with Kobe now, I think most fans will welcome it.

He's a role player. Yeah, he played a pretty big part in the Lakers run, but no way will he get his jersey retired.

I still think it should be O-town. But hey maybe they both can do it since Jordan was retired in Miami, Washington, and Chicago [IMG]

Shaq next definitely. I doubt that he would though since he doens't like our organization. But to retire as a Lakers is a huge honor, he should takes advantage of it.
