<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Randy Moss isnt even on the NFL top 30 in recieving yards!!!!!! Steve Smith has 2 more TDs than any other WR this year. He is #2 in recieving yards also. Right now the best Moss, is Santana.</div>

    Are you kidding me?????????????????

Moss ranks 10th in the NFL in receiving yards. I thought that sounded a little fishy so I checked it out. He has nearly 25 yards per catch. He has also had his bye week and missed just about all of last weeks game. So Smith is up 2 games on Moss right now. It might not mean much later on but early on theres a difference in playing more games. Come on panthersare1 at least give proper info if your going to try to make a valid point. It's to early to be dubbing Steve Smith the best WR in the game.

I'd vote for Tomlinson as the best player in the NFL. I think that's pretty much a given.

Shaun Alexander stated his case yesterday, too...for Number Two.

If you guys know me very well, you know that I do not read the whole thing, I just scan the text. And I did take summer school so you should know something is wrong with what I said.

Santana is not better than Randy. Steve is not better than Randy. Just because Steve and Santana may have better stats than Randy this year doesn't mean anything. If you took the overall stats of their career, it would be in Randy's favor. And if you kept Moss on the Vikings he would have better numbers as well as Culpepper. And if you are talking about Trent Dilfer with the Ravens in the 2000 Superbowl team, he was not on the best team. He was on the best defensive team of 2000, I think someone else beat them in the offensive stats. And did u see the pick that Ray Lewis did? I know I did! And to throw out some conversation, Terrell Owens do not have better stats than Randy Moss!

I agree with anyone who said Tomlinson is the best. No contest this guy does it all, week in and week out he comes to play.

No, Randy Moss is not clearly the best. You cannot be an NFL Diva and be the best at your position. You cannot put yourself ahead of the team and be the best. He has a tremendous amount of talent, but very little character. Randy Moss has a lot to prove. He needs to prove that he can put team interest ahead of his own. He needs to prove that he can act like a professional. He needs to prove that he can be a vital part of a championship team rather than a cancer.

Okay, Shawn Alexander is better than LT. Here are their stats:

    Shawn Alexander:

    ATT YDS AVG LONG TD

    131 715 5.5 45 12

    LaDainian Tomlinson:

    ATT YDS AVG LONG TD

    133 652 4.9 62 10

Randy Moss is the best WR

    Randy Moss:

    REC YDS AVG LONG TD

    19 466 24.5 79 2

So it's Shawn Alexander vs. Randy Moss

I know Shaun Alexander is a great Running back but LT is just so versatile. Alexander doesn't have the same speed as LT, doesn't catch as many passes as LT and sure as hell doesn't throw for TD's like LT.

I think that Alexander is too 1 dimensional to be the very best player. And it certainly isn't Randy Moss. He is overhyped. Don't say that every team double and triple teams him because every no.1 wide receiver gets special attention. And defenses go out with the though that if they stop LT they will win the game!

It has got to be LT!

Eh...Tomlinson also has 169 yards receiving and a receiving Touchdown, whereas Alexander has 32 yards receiving and no TDs. Tomlinson has also thrown a Touchdown pass.

That gives LT the same number of Touchdowns and 821 yards of total offense, vs. 745 for Alexander.

LT has two TD passes! in 6 games. That is not too far off Kyle Orton who has 3

He has been doing a pretty good job of keeping a low profile since joining the Raiders. Moss is a better person than most people think. Did you know he is like a big brother to a little girl who suffers from some type of sickness. He would visit her every week and sometimes she would be at games and practices where Moss would talk to her before any reporter. Yes he did some stupid things and if he wants to be in the ranks of Jerry Rice than yeah, he needs to improve on all you said. He is however in my opinion the best WR in the game today. Also it's funny how everyone remembers the bad things people do but not the good things.

LT is a far better RB than Alexander is. LT has put up huge numbers every single year, plus a couple years ago the Chargers sucked, and he still put up big numbers. You cannot argue with anyone that Alexander is better than LT, because he isnt, no one is. I think a better argument would be who is the best RB ever? LT has got to be in the top 5 for sure, he is certainly the best I have ever seen other than Barry Sanders, but I think LT is getting close to his production.

I never saw Barry Sanders live or anything but I have downloaded clips of him and he was awesome. He did quite pretty quickly.

You gotta mention Smith aswell, he is number 1 i think without doubt. Even for his consistency alone

Barry Sanders was one of the most entertaining backs ever, but not the best ever. When he lost yards, he lost them big. He often hurt his team by losing yards on important drives.

Of course, that never made the highlight reels.

Walter Payton, greatest of all time, but if LDT keeps going i think he can match and surpass him.
