The wizards are a good team most of the time, but how far do you think that they will get into the playoffs?
This team right now will not be able to go past the second round. I can see them advancing in the first round against the Cavs, but past second round they just don't have what it takes yet.
the team is fine in East max they can go this year is 2nd round which doesn't really say much but if they can have a 3rd option other than arenas+jamison and find better bench or more consistency from their other starters they will do much better than what they are doing now consistency is the key for this young team
What do you think Butler is? Think before you post. But I do agree, they're only a second round team right now. They need some solid role players and a true post presence.
they won't get past 2nd round, unless they plays like they did against the knicks yesturday everygame, then they will be a much more better team
yall should have kept larry hughes and yall need a better bench i mean tonite yalls bench only scored 5 points is that a nba record for one of the lowest points scored from a bench. i know teams need defense because defense wins games but yall need some kind of offense to come off the bench. do yall have a decent center im not sure i dont see much wizards games because im in chicago (chicago bulls fan) but thats about it.

We also have a productive bench with Antonio Daniels leading the way. Young guys like Billy Thomas and Donell Taylor showed that they could come up big when they need it and our only decent center is Etan Thomas, we really need some better ones.

With Butler starting, this team is better than we were with Hughes. Hughes is nice, but he's guranteed to miss 20 games every season. I was talking to some Cleveland fans in the off-season, and told them Redd>Hughes. They said Hughes is a better all-round player, and defender, but my reply to that is I'd rather have Redd's scoring and shooting for 82 games than Hughes' better all-round play, and average defense for 61 games. Antonio Daniels is the teams 6th man, and with Butler out, he's forced to start, which gives the team no offense on the bench. The Wizards are very weak at the big positions, there's no one who can finish inside, which also limits Arenas' assisting ability. The bench lately has been Donell Taylor, Billy Thomas, Michael Ruffin, and Awey Storey I think. If you showed these names to most non-Wizards fans, the only guy some might likely recognize is Micahel Ruffin, and Nets fans Billy Thomas.
Hopefully they get past LeBron and the Cavaliers. Former Wizard Larry Hughes will be playing so Im looking forward to this series most. I think the key for the Wizards his Antawn Jamison making his shots or taking less and Caron Butler playing the way he has been lately [this season]. And If Gilberts there the offensive load will be set, Brendan Haywood and Etan could handle the Cavliers big men so they'll be okay, keeping LeBron calm will be a task.

By that I mean I dont watch what kind of offense they run and how often the press, etc. </div> Caron Butler is signed for 5 more years at 9 million per with the Wizards.</div> Is this true? If so when did this happen? I mean when did the Wizards Ink Caron Long-Term?
I think the Wizards can steal the first round, but unfortunately I can't see them going much farther than 2nd. You can always hope I guess....
Yea, Im really liking the wizards and the Rejuvinated Caron Butler, I loved this guy in his rookie season in Miami, Im surprised he was let go by L.A. too, but Im glad he's on washingotn to cover up for Antawn's mistakes. Is it just me or are there other people who like the wizards that think Antawn Jamison isnt benefitting the Wizards too much.?
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I like the Wiz to beat the Cavs. Im a big fan of Butler.</div> Same here, but I just realized that I also like pretty much every other bright spot on there team, you could consider me a fan but not a hardcore one, Like I like Arenas, Butler, Blatche, Hayes [when healthy], ANTONIO DANIELS!, and Jared Jeffries.
Personally I think the only thing keeping the Wiz from making it deeper in the playoffs is a total lack of inside game. Everyone knows that in the playoffs if you can't score in the paint your not going very far. If they add someone who has a presence in the post and maybe a decent bench scorer I think they can go pretty far, but this year, they can't go past the 2nd round, although I do think they can beat the Cavs.
