    That was from Sports Illustrated.

I wouldn't do it, IMO. Don't get me wrong, if they did it I would NOT be mad. I see something special with D12 and Darko in the near future!

Channing Frye + Jalen Rose + Maurice Taylor + two first round picks for KG sounds better to me. What do you think?

Not really. I would rather have Darko to build around then Frye to be honest with you(my biased opinion). The only good thing is that the Knicks will continue to be bad, if it's unprotected that sounds like a better deal.

I think I would turn it down, Darko is like 8 years younger and who knows how good he could be. THe Magic have been playing really good lately and Darko/Dwight seem to like each other. Don't get me wrong, getting KG would be great, but would you rather have Darko/potentially Brandon Roy or Rodney Carney or Rudy Gay(i know not likely)/potentially Wade, Pierce, or Lebron or would you rather have KG?

Interesting trade scenario, I just think D12 and KG do too, many similar things on the court for this to make sense.

Making this trade eliminates Orlando's opportunity to actually build around Howard because KG's contract would eat up half their cap space.

MrJ, that's a really good package the Knicks are offering for KG. If Isiah is willing to give up Frye, I think Minnesota would consider the deal. I also think the Knicks would have to take Jaric or Hudson in the deal.

The question becomes, does KG want to play in New York?

Don't get a chance to watch Magic games. But, isn't Dwight a little different? He's bigger and usually just goes inside when I watched him during the few games the Bulls play them. Does he have a jumpshot? Can rebound and block shots. KG can go inside. He's got a jumpshot. And can hit a fade away. And gets just as many boards. And KG is a better passer. Dwight would be able to play center and KG at PF.

Both are responsible for controlling the glass for their team. Howard is developing a jumper, but he doesn't have anywhere close to the range KG has.

The problem with adding KG is forcing him or Howard to play out of position. Howard was leading the league in rebounds this year as PF and is quickly becoming one of the better defenders in the low block. At center, I don't think he would be as effective, because he lacks the strength right now to body up with the 300lb centers in the league.

With the salary KG makes you are putting the expectation on this team to win right now. Even with KG, I wouldn't put the Magic ahead of Detroit or San Antonio, and maybe not Miami either.

This team is still young and missing some pieces for them to be championship contenders. They are better off with the Howard/Darko duo, plus financial flexibility to round out their roster.

I dont know if anyone else see's a comparsion but if we got KG can we say Duncan and Admiral. They had no one around them the first time they won, they won with two PF's. I think with the young team we have as well as depth adding KG for basically Darko would be a great trade. It would make this team an instant contender for the east. KG has shown he can carry a team, other than this year where we had no help at all. I think it would be a trade that would bring instant results to the team. I understand his contract takes up half our space but it would be space that produces every night. Could you just imagine the rebounding those two would put up. Not to mention creating mismatches for other teams on a nightly basis. Im all in favor of the trade. Not only that but Dwight will be able to learn from one of the best PF in the NBA. Darko is still a chance, KG is a given. My 2 cents....

I understand what you are saying and it looks good, BUT would you rather have Dwight and KG or Dwight, Darko, lottery pick, 1 superstar or 2 good role players(from capspace)? I just think that Darko, lottery pick, 1 superstar or 2 good role players would be more valuable then KG as a whole. Would I be angry if this trade happened? No, because like you said KG and Dwight would be amazing for a couple of years. Darko and Dwight have a chance to be amazing for 8-10 years with the lottery pick and with whoever we get with the capspace.

2 or 3 more years out of Millicic? The kid is 20 years old. Judging by your standards, he has 15 more years(when he's 35) and will play 18 more years. Darko has made huge progress so far, just imagine what he will do with a full offseason to work with the team and to get into shape and to gel with his new teammates.

If you would have told me at the beginning of the season that we would have had the oppurtunity to get Garnett without giving up Dwight Howard, I would have freaked out and said pull the trigger on that right away. But with the way Darko has been playing and the way this franchise is moving, I say we keep our young guys and Hill's contract so we can pick up some more young talent in a couple of years. Garnett is great but he is getting older and doesn't give us as much flexibility as our current players do. A Milicic-Howard frontcourt has already proven to be good and Hill's expiring contract is very valuable to this team. On top of all that, this year's lottery pick will be pretty important to our future because we will be filling in the last piece of the puzzle in drafting a young SG/SF. That gives us youth and potential at every single position.

Also, Garnett wants to win a ring and I don't think he would be happy if he were traded to Orlando. He wants to go to a contender and at this point in time, we are still in the rebuilding phase. KG has been with a rebuilding franchise for his entire career and if he had to end his career with another one, I don't think he would be very happy.
