to slap some sense into gerald green's ass he shows no sportmanship in any games..i know he's just a kid but what he did in both games againist the raps was just stupid game 1: he does a windmill dunk with 1 second left in the game, and the celts being up by 12. Any other player in the league would just hold on to the ball. Game 2: another dunk, with no raptor close to him at all. if carter ever did that when he was in a raps uniform, Charles Oakley would have kicked his ass.
It's not a big issue. The more strategic thing would be to drible it out, but right then it didnt really matter if he dunked or not, given the time left. Poppin his jersey at the end with that look he gave to fans, bench or whoever was unnecessary though.
Not a big issue I doubt he has any beef with the Raps although he might becuase they took CV31 and Joey Graham over him.
Well, even if he was sorry the first time, Pape Sow had to go and make fun of his missing finger as the Raps walked off the floor. I'm glad he did it again.

^ ROFL ur joking right? hahaha how do you know that pape is mocking green with that? maybe he's saying smth to his team-mate
His teammates were nowhere near the Celtics bench, and besides...isn't it kinda obvious what he's doing? He's holding up his hand directly towards the Celtics bench, and he just so happens to be bending down the exact finger that Gerald Green is missing...and of course, it was seconds after Green embarrased them with that dunk. I didn't see it live, but I heard about it from a Raptors fan at a Raptors fansite. You can read about it and even watch a video of it here: http://www.raptorblog.com/060323a.php
Gerald Green is missing a finger? That just makes the dunks that much crazier. Don't be such a wimp about it PlaTsanity. Its bad enough I had to watch Chuck Swirsky try to bring up the topic every few minutes. If the Raps aren't going to play with any intensity, they deserve to be embarrassed.
i dont think y can be sure he was making the hand sign to mocks geraldos missing digit. You cant reallly tell if thats exactly the finger hes holding down in the pic or video. to me it looks more like hes holding up the "i love u" sign (often confused with the "devil horns" or "metal sign")
I didnt have a problem the dunk, but him cussing at the fans afterwards was unnecessary. Either way, people are making way too big of a deal than it already is.
I don't have a problem with the first dunk, because Tony Allen was the one who lobbed it. The second one though, come on. Theirs 4 seconds left, you already won, just run the clock out. Then he's strutting around like he's a star.
I think everyone is making a HUGE deal out of it, he's young, doesnt get much play time..geez, everyone is coming down on him like he did a Ricky Davis (triple double)..it aint THAT bad..i think people just need to mellow out a bit, if this was a few years ago, n T-Mac did something like this in his rookie season with Toronto, half of Canada would be on an erection...geez, people just need to get over it i think...

He should have waited to get fouled, missed the free throws, then watched as the Raptors attempted a game tying/winning shot. That would have been much classier.

MoPete was within 5 feet of him by the time he dunked it. He could have gotten to him and fouled with about 3 seconds left. Watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsnEWeFbiNo And yes, you're 100% correct. Gerald was the first player ever to get excited about completing a windmill dunk in an NBA game.
Green is a 20-year-old rookie who has played 24 games this season and averages 5.7 minutes in those games he plays. I think anyone would have done the same. It's not like the Celtics had a big lead either--they were down 2 points with a couple of seconds left. Green just iced the game with style, I guess.

Even you guys realize what a dumbass he is. Bobcat, how can you find anything wrong with the 2nd dunk? The first one might be interpreted as bad sportsmanship, but last night's was totally justified. What is he supposed to do when his team's only up by one and the Raps forget how to defend off the inbound?
