<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">who will probably never be an all-star like most people predicted.</div>Why do you say that?
They should focus more on trying to foul the guy at the end of the game, rather than if Green threw up his jersey at the end. I hate sore losers.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 44Thrilla:</div><div class="quote_post">MoPete was within 5 feet of him by the time he dunked it. He could have gotten to him and fouled with about 3 seconds left. Watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsnEWeFbiNo And yes, you're 100% correct. Gerald was the first player ever to get excited about completing a windmill dunk in an NBA game.</div> True, but the windmill was unnecessary, and would make Green look foolish had he missed that dunk. Oh well, not a big deal, Green did the right thing by dunking it. Initially I thought their was less time on the clock with nobody close to him like Mo Pete actually was, so I thought dribbling it out would be better (like what Gary Payton did to the Raps in a one possesion game 2 years agoe), but it turned out to be the right move by dunking it.
anybody deserve to dunk on a team that plays zero defence the flicking shirt thing...i am not sure if he's doing it to the home crowd and toronto players, but if it is then that's dumb people were cheering too from the video clips i saw above therefore i don't see what's the big deal of this? besides, living in toronto i am used to opponents doing highlight dunks/moves and career highs it's just some tragedy torontonians have to deal with
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">to slap some sense into gerald green's ass he shows no sportmanship in any games..i know he's just a kid but what he did in both games againist the raps was just stupid game 1: he does a windmill dunk with 1 second left in the game, and the celts being up by 12. Any other player in the league would just hold on to the ball. Game 2: another dunk, with no raptor close to him at all. if carter ever did that when he was in a raps uniform, Charles Oakley would have kicked his ass.</div> Are you serious? 1. They were up by 12, there was <u>ONE</u> second left in the game, why not show off a bit if given the oppurtunity? I would be glad if some one on my team was willing to still put that much effort in when you're up by 12 with one second left in the game. Plus I'm sure he was just trying to let off a bit of excitment for winning the game, and if you ask me, better on the court than in a bar or at a party some where where god knows what could've happened. 2. So what? Better to make sure the ball actually finds its way through the ring for sure rather than having it roll out on a lay up attempt.
I have held back from ripping on Raptors fans, because they really care about their team. Enough of that. C'mon now, you're all acting like somebody ragged on your mama. I do agree with the dunks that Gerald Green threw down, they were nasty. One was justified by the game, the other by Tony Allen's pass. There's not one person on this board who wouldn't have dunked that ball coming off the backboard if they could. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">he started showin off his jersey like he's a star or smth lol when he's nth but a kid, who will probably never be an all-star like most people predicted.</div> The jersey pop doesn't have anything to do with being a star. You've heard it here before. The jersey says BOSTON on the front, it doesn't say GERALD. He's demonstrating some pride in himself, yes, but also some in his team. I don't think he should have been running his mouth, but this is the NBA, it's half of what they do. As for the "he's nth but a kid, who will probably never be an all-start like most people predicted." That's self-defeating. If he's a kid, then we don't know if he's going to be an all-star or not, it's too early. Nice spelling skills though. I can tell you right now that he's going to be good. Gerald Green has learned more about NBA basketball in one season of garbage time playing, than Marcus Banks did in three full seasons of real minutes. Banks was supposed to play the point, Green will be a two, which is much less heavily reliant on basketball theory. He's also added a great deal of muscle, and his defense is only about 300% improved from where it was in the preseason. And you gotta admit he can throw down something fierce. Also, Charlie Villanueva is a cherrypicker. Defenses ignore him. And he looks like Derrick Coleman.

2 VERY entertaining dunks by G-Money...and even more entertaining reactions from Raptor fans...Gotta love this game
Relax. Boston fans get a free slice of pizza if the team scores over 120 points. Gerald Green was making sure the fans got their slice of pizza.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">he started showin off his jersey like he's a star or smth lol when he's nth but a kid, who will probably never be an all-star like most people predicted.</div> Who wouldn't want to show of that jersey, it looks really good on him. Most teams in the NBA such as the Bobcats, Trailblazers and even your Raptors don't pop their jerseys because the color formats simply don't look good. This, directly correlating to the number of games won by each of the three teams, can be a perfect explanation as to why Green felt compelled to show off his jersey.
