Just let him get better downlow and let him work on his outside game during the offseason, he's not good enough with the ball from the outside to run plays for him yet.
I agree with gators on that. Dwight is very young, the shot will come later in his career. He needs to work on being a beast inside. If he spends another year or so just being unstoppable under the rim then his outside shot will only become easier as players will let him shot rather than bang them down low. Dwight needs to be an inside player, he game isnt as polished as say KG's. KG can shot that ball but isnt the greatest low post player. Dwight needs to just take his time with his development and learn from mistakes and watching other players.
Yeah.. I guess I've never really thought about it like that. After thinking about it.. he does need to just let his jumpers come to him.
yea he still has a lot of work today on offense... he still needs to learn the basics and learn how not to become so predictable...the better players like kg and such always shut him down because they know what hes gonna do... once he gets his skills on shooting and making the right moves there are no limits
I agree with Gators on this one. We continue feeding him the ball down low and let him work on his post game this season, and then over the offseason we get him a shooting coach and add some new things to his offensive game. I'm happy that Dwight wants to learn and he wants to improve. That is a good side and hopefully he can turn into a Kevin Garnett player who can score/rebound at will against defenses.
