Well i have to say at the beginning of the season i didnt expect the Jets to be 2-4 but the twists and turns of their season so far it seems like a very fitting record. Lets talk about their QB situation shall we... well after much thought I've come to the conclusion that Chad Pennington can not be the QB of this team anymore. Its really too bad because I really really like Pennington and i believe he can be a great QB. But in Hermandinger's system there is no way he can be effective or can the offense. Proof of this can be shown by just looking at the game vs the Bills this week. See all the long passes the Jets threw today, well it seemed like a lot I tell you i dont see those type of passes a lot. Well with Testaverde's ability to throw those long passes the Bills D had to spread out. They couldnt just stack the line and just stop the run like teams have been doing vs the Jets for previous weeks. So what happens...Curtis Martin gets two runs for about 50 yards each. When was the last time he did that, lets see the last time he got a run for that far was December 2003. WOW sad isnt it. The scary thing is that he still got 1700 yards and the rushing title with defenses doing that to the Jets. And thats with a longest run of 25 yards last season. That just shows his greatness. So i've come to a conclusion. Draft a good QB who can spread out the field. Buyout Pennington in a couple of years and save a lot of money because he has a buyout in his contract in 2006 i think. Hermandinger's offense NEEDS that type of QB desperatly. Look at how he did with McNair throwing the long ball. That type of QB gets the running game and passing game going. Its too bad i really like Pennington, i truely do. But the Jets arent going to be agood team with him behind center. Defense will always do great. They are ranked 8th in the league i think before the game they were at least idk about now. They didnt do too well against McGahee who i have to say is a beast, TKO got that right hes a freakin monster and showed it vs a good Jets run defense. They havent been doing too great against the pass ranked 25th or something against the pass. Henderson has got to do something about that. They created a few TOs today but sometimes they were put in bad situations with field position which they can do nothing about. Overall they are the best part about this team, and let me add Jon Vilma is the league leader in tackles this season with 62. Mistakes is the last part of this long rant Of course Vinny is not the future of this team and I'm not worried about him throwing INTs because he does it all the time i mean his nickname around here is Interceptaverde. But come on fumbles on the snap is inexcusable, infact it cost us the game. That cant happen if you want to be a team that is in the game the whole game. Teams like the Jets cant afford to shoot themselves in the foot. Well overall the Jets have a great foundation on defense for the long haul with some great young players. With a good QB fit for Hermandinger's offensethis team is clearly a playoff team, but unfortunatly they dont have one at the moment. Hopefully we lose out and can draft Matt Lienart if not we have to find a qb who can spread the field and create a good running game for Curtis Martin, because he clearly is not finished he just deserves better. Drew Brees... come on down!

Herman Edwards will keep them together and, while they may not contend this year, they may ruin someone else's post season plans.

NEWSFLASH... not even i hate them. idk about some of the phins fans but infact i really like the Bills they are a good team sure. But if you think about it if the Jets won that game, they would be on top of the division at 3-3 with the Patriots and you would have been where the Jets are. A win by the Jets and a loss by the Bills puts them in the same place again. Right now even though it probably doesnt seem like it to you the division is still up for anyone even the Jets. Though unfortunatly i doubt it. So stop thinking everyone is out to get you, ur putting this all on urself
It appears that the jets are going thru this yr what Miami went thru last year. I hadn't heard about Mawae being out for the season. I really like KM. Anybody that Zach Thomas thinks highly of can't be all bad even if he is a green weenie.

Look, I WAS WRONG ABOUT LOSMAN - you guys happy now? I don't care though - we're winning with Holcombe. We're in first place now with Holcombe with a great opportunity to pull away from the rest of the pack the next two weeks since I seriously doubt the Jets will beat the Falcons on next Monday night, The pats have a bye, and we play the defense-less, Moss-less raiders, then play the Pats in their house which judging on how they play we could really stand a good chance at knocking them off - it's unfortunate that they have a whole two weeks to prepare for us and only us, but that's the way it is. Second of all - how can you decide whether or not you respect someone if you've never even met them? pretty lame in my opinion. same thing with the whole honor thing - I've got honor, and I have posted on here prior to my 'return' and after we lost to the Bucs. so enough with the whole coward accusations. I'll admit, I've lost interest in football, but it's never stopped me from finding out whether or not we've won when we've played in over 6 seasons. I've earned the right to be a fairweather fan when my team's front office has made some boneheaded decisions (like Johnson over Flutie, or drafting Erik Flowers - neither of which I didn't agree with at all.) But one thing I'll never EVER do is cheer for another team unless it's in a game that's got playoff implications for the Bills.
