The fact that he can stop All-stars from scoring their average makes him a great defender. Even if he was a laker i would still call him a great defender.

He is the best? lol, no way in hell is that true. And he did a good job winning DPOY too. Bowen is a very good on ball defender, the best in the league? I dont think so.

Bruce has done nothing this season out of the ordinary on defense. He hadn't held anyone below their norm. He is good, but overrated and dirty. When other coaches give you nicknames, i think they know a great defender and any coach would want bowen on their team. The fact is you dont like when bowen shuts down your teams all-star so you hate on him. DPOY!

The fact is, Bowen is a good defender, but he is dirty and overated, it has nothing to do with hating on him, what reason do I have to hate on him for? I wouldnt waste my time worrying about him.

He does a lot of intentional fouls, i still remember when he stepped his leg out to trip VC when he was taking a shot. DPOY my ass.
