I don't know if he'll slip to the Hornets pick, but i'd love to see him with the Hornets, getting fed the ball by CP3. I'm sure Redick would love the opportunity as well. Let's hope it happens Edit: That or they package up their two picks with JR Smith and look to get a top 5 pick to snag a quality big (Thanks to Sir Desmond for reminding me of this idea i had a few weeks back)
Too bad that JR Smith is lazy and doesn't work on his game as hard as Scott wants.Would've been great to see CP and JR backcourt dominating in few years.Redick sounds good,Paul could get him a lot of good looks. Something like Iverson-Korver duo perhaps?
Would be a pretty small frontcourt, if you want him starting. But, I don't watch the Hornets, but do they play fast like the Suns? Or more of a half court style?
I think Reddick would get some nice looks at the basket playing along side Chris Paul, but with that said I don’t think he is the right pick for the Hornets. The Hornets need some guards who will attack the basket, and have more of an overall game, rather than just an outside game. So if I was in their front office I would probably take good shooting guard with the lottery pick probably Carney, Foye, or Brandon Roy since they will all probably be gone when the second pick comes around. Then use the second one on a big man such as Boone, Simmons, or O’Bryant.

The more i think about it the more i think they'll package up their two picks to move up the draft if it means getting Aldridge, otherwise keep them and pick one big, one small and go from there.

The Hornets already have David West, a fairly young powerforward that works well with Chris Paul. Doesn't make sense to draft another player that plays the same position. Oh, and I don't think Aldridge can play the center spot, which is probably their greatest need right now.
I don't think Redick would be the best edition to this team. They should package the picks and see how far they can move up. This is one team where I think Adam Morrison could do well, along with Rudy Gay. I could see Rudy Gay doing real well with the Hornets actually. He seems to be the type of player Byron Scott likes to coach from reading about him and watching him play this year. He's a team guy that won't detract from the teams chemistry. Before this year, I knew nothing about UConn, but I became a big Huskies fan and read up a lot about their recent history etc. A lot of Gay's faults where also put on Ben Gordon before he was drafted in 2004, even at one point his attitude to was questioned. However he really broke out in the NBA and I think Gay will too with the right team. If they keep their two picks, I think they should use one of the to grab either Patrick O'Bryant or Sene Saer if either is within that range. I don tnow how far their stock will increase from workouts. Saer just needs someone to teach him some skills and not to stand like the hunchback of Notre Dame.

PJ Brown is on his last legs, the other guys are cheap stop gaps and Brandon Bass, whilst talented, is strictly a 4. Aldridge would be a good fit beside West, and is certainly a better prospect (even at the 5) than the true centres nominating for the draft.
Redick is probably better than many believe. I hope the Hornets have a chance to draft him and an athletic big man with a little more juice than Bass.

From what I've seen of him, Aldridge looks a bit too weak to bang with the big guys down low and in general, isn't that physical of a player. Plus, I don't know if he can take the punishment downlow than players in the NBA will give him every night. From what I've heard, Aldridge still struggles at times against the bigger and stronger players on the collegiate level, which are the types of players he'll mostly be facing in the NBA. I'm not too sure how well he'll fit behind West (although I must admit, it would be a promising frontcourt) since both are essentially low post players that play well mainly through their finesse skills such as jumpshooting.
You would have seen more of him so i'll bow to your superior knowledge, but i still believe he is the best guy for New Orleans if they can wriggle their way up the board.
I think JJ would be a very nice edition to the Hornets because it gives them a great shooter, somehting which they lack since getting rid of David Wesley. The only one that may fall to them although it's highly unlikely is Brandon Roy.

Too tell you the truth, its not like drafting Aldridge would be that bad of a choice, he does have a lot of tools to be a great player in the league, I'm just not sure how well he'd fit in with West since both are pretty much the same players except Aldridge is taller, has more potential, and is a slightly better rebounder/shotblocker. Who knows, it could turn out to be a good decision by the organization.
Fair enough. I just assumed you'd seen more as you get much better coverage of all basketball (especially college ball) than we do down here.
unfortunately I'm ignorant as hell with college ball, never watch it. I love the NBA and if you make it then your worth talking about is my opinion. Is JJ a good idea though? There are others.
