    Today he went for:

    17 points
    11 rebounds
    16 assists
    6 steals

Second triple double in 3 games.

    In April he's averaging 22ppg, 9rpg, 13apg and 4spg.

He also leads the entire league in steals.

    The kid is special

He was close in regular time, but he got this one in OT, last time he didn't, even though they went to double OT last time. But, what's NO won 4 games now? Too bad the Kings took down the Spurs tonight. Didn't gain any ground.

Woot, with that Warrior loss they are now tied for the 6th pick in the draft! Thankyou CP3! The kid is a beast but it wasn't all that impressive since it took him an OT against the Warriors without Baron Davis to get the Trip-doub. Still, a triple double is a triple double.

    Are you kidding?

You can count on one hand the number of rookies who log triple doubles, and even less who manage it despite being under 6ft (despite what his profile says).

I don't care if he's playing against a CBA team, a triple double by a tiny rookie PG is amazing.

I gave him his props, I'm just saying he wouldnt have had the triple double if the game didn't go to overtime. I also pointed out that the Warriors arent the greatest defensive team either, its still amazing that Paul got the triple double.

Mr. Paul is indeed amazing, but I agree with Run BJM. IT is still great but the Warriors aren't the greatest.

So that means the triple double is worth less?

How many players have had triple doubles against the Warriors this year?

A triple double is a triple double no matter how you try to slice it.

Calm down guys. The man that is trying to discredit Paul's stats is Warriors fan.

He is probably just kind of upset that CP3 did it against his team.

I never said anyone didn't deserve a triple double, if you get one you obviously earned it and deserve it. The difference was that Paul wouldn't have had the triple double against the Warriors if the game didnt go to OT, I was just adding that not the Warriors aren't a good team either. I agree that a triple double is a triple double any way you slice it, but don't you agree that Shaq's was slightly more impressive considering it didnt take him an extra 5 minutes? A triple double is impressive for anyone; rookie, veteran, guard, big man, whoever but its just a little more impressive if it's done in regulation. Is that a fair assessment?

Not to beat a dead horse here, because I understand your point. However, if you check the game stats Paul ended up playing a total of 47 minutes. Although, when he finished off the triple double they where in the overtime session it did not take him any longer than a regular NBA game length (48 minutes) to get the triple double.

The resulting stats for each game for most players reflect the coach's and team's gameplan and style of play. Paul is running the team the way he is coached. He's not racing up and down the floor taking it to the hoop or looking for his shot. He plays under control, but can play at any speed under control, and is universally admired by his opposing coaches and by other experienced point guards (and all other players who've been in the League long enough to see the best) for his fearless desire to win and lead his team
to improbable wins. He could go out and get 25 pts. every night, but looks instead to break down the defense and set up his teammates. There are not many PGs who could get 10 assists in 48 minutes playing for the Hornets this year. Whether or not the rebounds come his way is less certain, but a triple for a PG is a testament to his speed and presence. Bad luck derailed the Hornets just when they were about to establish themselves this year, but Paul has been the constant star.
