Sad loss...goodbye winning streak. At times we had the game in the bag. Nets were really careless in the 4th quarter and that is a lot of reason we had lost. Now the Nets won't admit but the last few games their defense hasn't been the same as when we beat Dallas,Detroit and PHX. Anyway here the stats

    Kidd 11 pts 10 asts 7 rebs
    Carter 33 pts 5 rebs
    Jefferson 20 pts 10 rebs
    Krstic 18 pts 6 rebs
    Cliffy 14 pts 5 asts

Cavs win. LeBron has scored 35+ points in 9 straight games, and he's had at least 4 assists in each of those games (7+ in 7 of the 9). I wonder how often that has happened in the history of the league.

Lebron really dominated down the strecth, the clutch free throws.

Carter didn't play well in the last 1:30 or so, trying to force somethings after the previous possesion went wrong. He got a turnover, and LeBron had a RIDICULIOUS 3 point play. Vince came back and shot an off balance shot, then after missed a shot facing Snow on the block (good, not bad shot selection). He missed the 2nd free throw that would of tied the game, and then missed a deep 3 right off an inbound pass with 15 secs left.

If the Nets could get VC the ball on the block more about 15-18 feet away from the basket, then that would increase their chances of scoring a basket, because that's when good things happen. Vince either takes a shot (within his range that he makes), finds the open play with the pass after the attention comes to, or puts it on the floor and creates for himself or teammates.

Overall, the Nets played a good game, and with better execution down the stretch, they could of won it. Gotta give props to LeBron though, he carried the Cavs down the stretch; finding Marshall for the open 3 followed by a VC turnover that lead to the amazing LeBron 3 point play was the change momentum late in the game.

Saw the game and it was very entertaining. The Nets need to learn how to keep their leads now before they get in the playoffs. LeBron put the Cavs on his back and led them to the victory. Just when it was looking to be in the Nets' hands, the Cavs remained persistent; that's something they'll need in a few weeks.

Too bad for the Nets though--they were just short of getting a franchise record of 15 straight wins.

What are you talking about? Other than today, the Nets had never lost a lead going into the 4th quarter. They lead the league in maintaining 4th quarter leads

Never heard of that, but regardless it's a bad time to start forming such habits.

I don't know but I feel like the media is going to be alll over the Nets for losing. I don't know why but I just have that feeling. Pretty sure they might make a negative statement about us after we lost.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post">Never heard of that, but regardless it's a bad time to start forming such habits.</div> It's true. They lead the league this year in keeping leads going into the 4th quarter (i think it was on 82games.com).

I'm worried if the players have run out of fuel already. The team shows that they can beat anybody when their defense is on point, even with the lack of frontcourt depth. I can't wait to watch the Nets in the playoffs, and hopefully they bring their A game.

It was on 82games.com like gifted says; and one game doesn't start habits. Two or three, possibly, but yesterday was just a brain fart. Carter is one of the top clutch players in the league, and today he just had an off closing at the end of games. It happens to all clutch players, so I still have faith in him.

I wouldnt worry about us forming a trend of blowing leads, the Nets are a veteran team with tons of experience playing in close games. I think yesterday was simply, Vince Carter felt that he needed to match what Lebron did or was doing, so that led to some poor decision making on his part. But when a guy like Vince shoulders the scoring load night in & night out, sometimes things like this will happen....but he wins more for us then he losses, so you live with it.

Also I think a big mistake that might be over loked was the quick 3, that RJ took with less then 2 minutes in the game, because Lebron was able to get out on the break and get to the free throw line that trip as well.
