An unrestricted free agent this summer, Harpring continued a late-season hot streak Saturday night against the Portland Trail Blazers.
He finished with 29 points on 11-for-16 shooting and added a season-high six assists to lead the Jazz to a 110-93 victory at the Delta Center.
In his last five games, Harpring averaged 19.8 points on 41-for-65 shooting. That's 63 percent.
"It's definitely good for us because he gives us another weapon," said point guard Deron Williams. "[Carlos] Boozer and [Memo] Okur are going to get their points, and Andrei [Kirilenko] is going to fill up the stat sheet. So when Matt's scoring, it's another weapon that helps us win games. And that's what we need now. We can't afford another loss."
The Jazz's fourth win in six games bumped their record to 37-39. They are 2 1/2 games out of the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference.
"When Matt is shooting the ball well and rebounding the ball, it makes a huge difference," coach Jerry Sloan said.</div>
