86-80 Sixers with about 9 minutes to go in the 4th, we`re working hard for the baskets...

    We win!

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Allen Iverson had 26 points and 15 assists and Kyle Korver scored 20 off the bench, helping the Philadelphia 76ers move into sole possession of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a 105-97 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Stephen Hunter, playing for injured Chris Webber, tied a career high with 20 points, and Andre Iguodala added 19 as the Sixers won their second straight game to move a half-game ahead of Chicago for eighth place in the East.

Antawn Jamison scored a season-high 37 and Gilbert Arenas had 32 for Washington, which missed an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot.</div>

Damn, I'm liking the Hunter and Dalembert combo.
I know its only been two games, but I still wonder what happens when Webber gets back...

another reason why i am starting to question BK's ability at gm. hunter has obviously shown he is a lot better than 2 2nd round draft picks. i know there has been talks that we would use the picks in a package for eric williams, but stephen hunter > eric williams. thats a fact, not an opinion

ok, i know i might get bashed for this, but oh well. does anyone know think that we are indeed better without webber? i know, its only two wins blah blah blah, but without c-web, who is someone that needs the ball to be effective, the ball movement has been terrific. all the guys have been getting involved, and look at the boxscore:

those are the numbers that i love to see

The Dalembert/Hunter combo is nasty..we seriously need to utilize that combo more often.

I will be royally pissed if Cheeks reverts back to the old low post of Webber and Dalembert. Make Webber a small forward or something (I know, can't, and will not happen), because the Hunter and Dalembert combo is seriously dangerous. Two athletic seven footers running up and down the court, sick nasty! Cut Webber's playing time and say we're trying to keep him fresh for the playoffs, then see how the Hunter and Dalembert combo does for the rest of the games.

Don't worry... I'm almost certain Cheeks will give Webber his 38 minutes a night (or whatever it is) back as soon as he returns... unfortunately.

All we need is a decent power forward via the draft or free agency (for the future), and our future front court rotation looks very, very nice (assuming this isn't a fluke).

We're going to need similar performances consistenly from all those players if we want a chance in the playoffs.

The Wizards bench is so weak right now with Butler out. Outside of Wizards fans, and some other NBA fans, who knows who:

Billy Thomas, Michael Ruffin, Awey Storey, and Donell Taylor are? People will know Ruffin a little, and some Nets fans Thomas, but man, the bench is horrific right now.
