<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">Why does everyone keep talking about acquiring a SF (whether its Peja, Rashard, or Morrison), as if McGrady will be able to handle the SG position next season? When our key weakness this season has been lack of quickness guarding the perimeter, it makes no sense to move McGrady (a natural SF) to SG. He clearly doesn't have the same quickness he used to.</div> Because with the chronic back pain, TMac will likely miss atleast 10-15 games here on out...so Peja would be a reliable scoring threat at that position, and then you plug in Bogans or whatever SF we draft in the other slot...I would love to see Peja added simply because he's not just a shooter...he's a smart passer, makes intelligent plays and really knows the game well...plus he's a solid rebounder and a better defender than people give him credit for...
Peja would be great, if we could somehow Nab him. We need a great shooter, especially one that can get open while people are double-teaming Yao and T-mac.
No chance, larry bird wants to keep him. It took him a long time to get him..and he wants to keep him
Well, Peja's opting out of $8.2 million. If we are to get him, we'd better give him more than that. Other than a sign-and-trade, there's no way we'll get him.
Don't touch him even if he would take the MLE man this guy has no game in the clutch. Are we building a team to win lots of regular season games? Or are we building a team to win a lot of championships. If you say championships don't touch peja with a 10ft pole
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Blurr#7:</div><div class="quote_post">That's also a good point, we need more scorers!! Dallas is deep they bring Stackhouse off the bech and he can drop 30 same with SA and Finley. The Rockets look terrible on offense when Yao is not in, and even when he makes the outlet pass we can't knock down a shot.</div> Does Luther Head sound familiar. This guy will be a great player in a couple years. He was just a rookie and was good. He was draining shots all season. So give him 2 years and he will help Yao and T-Mac get to the playoffs. Also I think that Stromile Swift will step his game up next year and become a big Impact player. He showed some glimpses this year of being a great player. Houston will not acquire Peja for the simple reason that they need quickness and won't beable to offer him enough money....
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AznxBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually, Wesley shut him down that series. The only reason why you're thinking that is because Stackhouse shot over him like three times in a row, but all the other times Wesley stopped him defensively. I've debated this so many times before, but the stats prove it..</div> Not to bring up old news, but Stackhouse destroyed Wesley that series . Wesley's lack of size was one of the main factors against Dallas, if I'm the Rockets, there's NO WAY in hell I'm keepin Wesley.

But the thing is he's been showing these glimpses throughout his career. Every year, it's been said that the next year would be the one when he breaks out. Six years and nothing has happened. It's hard now to expect anything more than "glimpses". And Rock4life, we've beaten to death the topic of Wesley and Stackhouse already. If you want to debate it again, find the thread and just have fun reading it. No point in saying the same things again.
