I heard NOH was locking up Speedy, and rightfully so, without injuries, he's been a good player for a while, so I don't know about him.
Speedy is a nice player, I wouldnt mind seeing him in a Toronto jersey but like og said its not likely. I just posted the three PG's I'd keep in another thread, but with talk about Luke Ridnour here, I have no clue how, but I'd take him anyday over Mike James. For the Center situation, sure Pryzbilla is nice, but I'd take Wilcox over him too. Wilcox is much more athletic, he's a hustle player and IMO has a lot more potential that Pryzbilla, I dont know how old Przybilla is but Wilcox is still fairly young, he'd form a good nucleus with Bosh, V, and himself and hopefully our draft pick.
Andre Miller would be a great addition to the raptors a better passing worse shooting bigger seeming version of MIke James. I doubt hes going to leave Denver though with the great team they've got right now, Melo, K-Mart, Camby and himself, and also Bosh said if Mike James stays he stays so I guess we know whats happening.
Doesn't Bosh know that he won't get as much touches if James stays? But I guess he does put points on the board. I feel that we just had a bad start this year and even with the guys we have right now and if we can improve our defense, we can be a playoff contender. And if we draft a center or Brandon Roy, I think it's up to 70-80% that we make it to the post-season next year. But to touch on it again, we can not have another bad start or else I'll just become a Knicks fan. Just kidding...hehe
i am pretty sure bosh won't complain if toronto made a good deal on sign and trade with mike james afterall he just want to win and with the team so bad this year, he was just desparate
The Raptors are a decent team, minus the beginning of the season, and the Boshless end, why do we always wanna make these huge changes, change is killing us, lets stick with something that is working, the 2man game with Bosh and James, Peterson doesnt need that many plays called for him he flows with the offence, Villanueva is a solid player and hes only a rookie, and he has said the biggest thing in the summer that he will work on is his defence, and if he does so and say he gets good, we will have a line of tenacious defender with Mo Pete, Mike James, CB4, Charlie, and some blank free agent big, veteran, defensive player (shotblocker). Id like to add one with that cap space, and this would be good for Pop to have a veteran big to further teach him the game. Enough with the point guards, enough with all the young players, im very happy with the ones we have, but yes you can have too much, especially when you blow up the team all the time and they cant grow together. Get those veterans who will come through in tough stretches.

I really hope we don't just draft some center, lets get some veterans and let our young talents grow properly. I think we are pretty much playoff bound, as long as we keep what has been producing for us and touch on our weakspots, makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

I don't think Toronto is at a stage where we can say no yet to bringing in quality talent through the draft. This year, I say we keep our picks in order to bring in cheap talent to our bench, players that won't demand touches that detract from our Bosh and James. Anyway, for anyone interested, here are 2 Free Agent lists for 2006: http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_13008.shtml http://nbasource.blogspot.com/2005/08/prep...gency-menu.html
I have no problem with rookies, by all means if there is a rookie who can help us take him, but I don't want something like the Araujo incident to happen again, get a center when there are none. I don't know much about college players so I can't say whats in it. My main message is, NO MORE GAMBLES. We must have someone who can make an impact, now even if only a rookie. But with the young talent, im not sayin we have too much as it is, im sayin we have enough, and some are very good, I really like what I see from Pop, Joey has been solid as of late, Charlie, everyone knows what hes about, Calderon solid random find by Babcock.
