Or does a lot of people underestimate T.A? I mean, i know he had a terrible first half of the season, but he was playin on a bum knee, the way he has been playing lately is very, very encouraging...
Its just everytime i see possible trade scenarios with the celtics, T.A is always mentioned in the deal..I for 1, dont think we should trade him, he is a hell of a defender, and he is starting to score quite easily now, and call me crazy, but he may possibly even turn out like a Ron Artest...lock down defender, and decent scorer as well...thats what I think anyway...

May not be the best thread to ask this, but what would the Celtics be looking to acquire in a trade for Tony Allen?

Houston could sure use the services of a young, athletic, defensive stopper like Tony Allen at the PG position.

I'm a big fan of the Allen. He can drive to the basket at will and has an awesome defensive game. Why has he become unwanted in the club?

Believe me, you don't want Allen at the PG position.

I think a lot of people arent sold on Tony Allens value because its so hard to figure out where he fits in. He certainly doesnt appear to have the court vision and instincts to be a playmaker at the PG position and people prefer to think of gerald green as our SG of the future with Paul Pierce and Delonte West seeing time there as well

Ill second that, he is not a PG, n I think its pretty stupid to be playing him there, i just heard from Celticsblog.com that doc plans to play him at point guard more next year...we already tried to play one shooting guard at point (Delonte) and although he is doing ok, I still think we need a real point guard, n trying to move Tony Allen over is not going to solve anything...

I agree with you there, but would he be able to play both SG/SF position? pretty much defending the other teams best player? I know he may be undersized for the SF position, but, look at Bruce Bowen, I mean he defends shooting guards through to 7 footers...could we use him for something like this? or am I way off!?
