Bucs QB Brian Griese is out for the year with a ACL and MCL injury. This is a severe blow to the up and coming Bucs
So Luke McCown takes over and he hasen't played in a year. No one's ever heard of him but the bucs face the 49ers next so we'll see how bad they crush them or just beat them to see if the bucs are in bad shape with their new QB.
Chris Simms was the future there anyways and he gets a bye week to get adjusted to being the starter. Facing the Niners is a nice start as well. I think as long as they stick to what they do best. Run the ball and play defense they'll continue to win some games. They'll be tested against Atlanta and Carolina for sure. Then we'll see if they are for real.
Chris Simms was not doing too badly last year before that injury. I think he will do what some teams are requesting of their QBs, not to lose it! With such a good crop of running backs and a strong defense, they will continue to roll
I think this is gonna really hurt the running game becaues people will walk up the safeties to defend against Cadallac, because i dont think many defenses are scared of Simms
Well Brian Griese didn't really strike fear in anyones eye, so I don't think it'll hurt the running game that much.
Id be more fearful of a Strong armed gun slinger than some Michigan System QB any day(no offense to Tom Brady!).
