Miller has played 73 games (8 starts in that), and when in the 6th man role he has averaged 13.4ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.7apg, 47% shooting. Stackhouse has played 54 gamrs (11 starts in that), and when in the 6th man role he has averaged 12.5ppg, 2.8rpg, 2.7apg, 38.7% shooting Anyone who picks Stackhouse only does so out of ignorance to Mike Miller's year.

Plus, Smush hasn't improved his horrendous defense at all either. He has trouble defending almost every starting PG in the league. Diaw's improved on the offensive end, showing he can play all five positions, but what's really astounding is that he can also guard all five positions on the defensive end.
MVP - Dirk Nowitzki(The man should win it, he's a scorer, a leader, and his obviously stepped up his game.) MIP - Smush Parker (From D-League to starter for the Lakers? And to the guy who was talking about how he can't play defense...neither can Nash!) Rookie - CP3 (not even close.) Defensive Player - Ben Wallace (Camby was hurt too much.) 6th Man - Jerry Stackhouse (Who would you rather have on your team, Stack or Miller?) Coach of the Year - Avery Johnson (Flip was handed a gift in the Pistons. They're a machine. Plus, he's had to deal with absolutely no bad-luck, his starters were healthy all year. Avery turned waste-of-space-players in to...players (Diop), dealt with injuries (Howard, Stack, Van Horn, Harris, Griffin, etc.)

Both should be given equal or similar weighting in the voting process, and when you consider both at the same time, Dirk is the most complete candidate. His Mavericks are the third best team in the league, only three games behind San Antonio, and he's putting up 27 ppg, 9 rpg, and 3 apg with 41% 3pt FG. The only player whose resume I'd consider just as complete would be LeBron James, whose team is three spots behind Dallas in the standings but whose stats are better enough to the point where they compensate for the gap between the success of their teams. The Clippers' 47-win season would grab my attention if I were voting for the All-NBA teams, but if I were comparing him to Dirk for MVP, it's pretty insignificant when compared to the Maverick's 60-win season. 13 wins is a hell of a difference.
