Interesting read. See where your team's analysts rank. Includes reviews of select national tv analysts at the end. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...ades/index.html Personally, I thought he was overly generous with some, but then everyone has their own taste.
The fact that the Sonics team got a B+ despite the presence of Craig Ehlo is evidence of Kevin Calabro's superawesomeness.
How does Bill Walton get and A+?????? I've actually muted the tv for some of his games. WTF????? I always figured he had pictures of ABC executives naked with goats or something. I couldn't think of any other reasons to let him talk on national tv. He puts his foot in his mouth every time he opens it. I know he was a good college player and everything but Bill has got to go.
He was a bit too lenient on a lot of them. Aside from Matt Devlin and the Bobcats, he wouldn't give lower than a C. Bit too generous with Toronto's broadcast, IMO.
Clippers A+???!!! WTF, they are some of the most boaring broadcasters out there. The Nets and Knicks have the best IMO.
Some of his grade`s are a little whacked, but he summed up 76er broadcasting with Zumoff and Mix pretty well.
Bill Walton has to be THE worst announcer I've heard in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating or anything. He's "atrocious", or even "TERRIBLE." He insults those he works with, contradicts himself, and is simply not funny. I wish I could watch him call a Lakers game. It'd be funny to watch him try to explain why his son sucks so bad!
Am I the only person who finds Clyde Fraizer’s form of announcing completely useless and annoying? Every time I watch a Knicks game on MSG I find myself hitting mute when Clyde speaks (which is 47 out of the 48 minutes the game is on). He will come out of no where with useless catch phrases that do not relate to the game once so ever, and constantly repeat obvious things. Then there will be a entire possession where it seems like he is not even there, but trust me he makes up for it the rest of the game. The Knicks should never have let Marv Albert go.
