With McGrady already sidelined for the season due to chronic back problems, the Rockets suffered more than just a 85-83 setback to the Utah Jazz on Monday. They lost Yao for the rest of the year after he broke his left foot in the opening period. </div>

Let's give Lampe, Hayes and...(there's no one else who's "young") some time. The season's as good as gone anyways. Let's hope Alston hits a shot, maybe.

Thing that pisses me off is I'm in the Finals of my fantasy league, and I had decided to bench Howard for the week and keep Yao active. Now Yao's done for the season and Howard is probably going to have big games...

Dammit, we're up by 10 AND we're playing all our scrubs. So far Chuck Hayes leading the team with four points and nine rebounds at halftime. Hope this doesn't make him noticed by other teams, or else we'd have some competition in resigning him in the offseason.

Trip, Howard's been doing jack this game anyway, so its not THAT bad a situation.

I know Tracy and Yao are important, but even I'm surprised we couldn't beat the Wolves. Alston, Wesley, Howard, Swift -- these guys should be ashamed of themselves for not being able to beat a team clearly in tank mode.

In this highly anticipated epic battle of the scrubs, the Houston Rockets showed what kind of team is currently surrounding Yao and Mcgrady. The Rockets lost to a Timberwolves team that was without Garnett, Davis, Hudson, and Mccants. They also had not won a road game in their last 14 tries. I guess the Rockets just wanted to lose more. The Rockets led for about 46 1/2 minutes before giving the Wolves their first lead of the game against "marginal offensive players".

"We're a high-turnover team now, which is No. 1. Secondly, we're a very poor shooting team from all areas, from 2-point range, 3-point range and the free-throw line. We shoot more air balls now on the perimeter than any team — I've never seen any NBA team miss as badly as we do." This quote by JVG pretty much sums up the Rockets horrible offense.

No one was particularly impressive except for Hayes, but even he seemed to have a poor second half. This game better convince JVD and CD that they need a major overhaul of the current roster around the Big Two.

Looking ahead to the draft, does anyone think we will actually get someone who will help the team? The Rockets have not had very good draft choices in the last decade. Aside from Yao and Cutino, I can't think of another player that developed into a good player. In 2001, the Rockets did draft Richard Jefferson, but he was packaged in a deal for Eddie Griffin.

In my opinion, CD has not had a particularly good reign as GM. Hopefully, the new guy will change that.

To be fair, Dawson hasn't really had a lot of "high" draft picks to work with. However, him drafting Jason Collier wasn't a good idea...

Dawson will still be in charge of this draft. Morey is here as an understudy and will take over only in 2007-08.
